So last night I started bleeding quite heavy, lasted only 10 minutes and then went to spotting overnight (I didn’t sleep a wink). This morning it was medium heavy for about an hour then spotting ever since.
Called my (useless) GP surgery who now don’t take calls so had to fill out a form online, eventually called me back and said go to A & E. spent an hour there for them to tell me their earliest scan is Thursday.
So I’ve booked a private one locally for later today.
I’m really nervous that the worst has happened again.

Sorry to hear this ZLC, glad you got a scan booked and hope everything is ok. Fingers crossed!
Did you call Care about a scan? My friend who is at a different clinic said she asked her clinic to scan her after a bleed and the initially seemed reluctant but when she said she’d book a private one they didn’t want her to have to do that so they then did scan her at the clinic.

Oh my goodness - I’m so sorry. That must have been so awful - keeping everything crossed that the bleeding is coming from somewhere else and that baby is ok. I hope you’re as ok as you can be right now xx

Had the scan and everything looks ok! It’s 3mm long and has a heartbeat, she said no sign of bleeding inside so I have no idea what it is but fingers crossed it will be ok again on 25th for my Care scan.

I’m going to sleep so well tonight!

Hi everyone,

Think I had caremaps Lucy but can’t see anywhere on my portal what grade all the embryos are/were. I wouldn’t obsess on it too much though because I know my first embryo was top quality and grade because at embryo transfer they kept talking about and it still resulted in an early miscarriage which they usually put down to a problem with the embryo! What date is your follow up appointment?

ZLC sorry you had a scare but glad your scan went well and not long until your care scan!

I had another bleed on Saturday too, ended up in A&E for 5 hours because early pregnancy assessment and care fertility was shut! They asked me to come back the next day for a scan which I did and the baby was fine again but they found an extra chorionic haemorrhage which apparently is some bleeding/bruising in the womb as well as the baby! Went to go for my scan with care yesterday (took the day off work and travelled 35 minutes) for them to refuse to do it because I’d already had 2 scans in a week and apparently there’s a limit on the amount you can have due to exposure/rays from the ultrasound machine. Very annoying, they’ve rearranged for Monday!

I was going to ask how you’d got on Charly - how annoying that you’d had to travel there to not have one! Sorry you’re having so many scares- glad that baby is ok though and that you have managed to get another scan next week! Have you had many symptoms yet or still feeling normal? My scan is on Tuesday so 6 days to go… sure it’ll be the longest 6 days ever haha xx

Charly - sorry to hear you had another bleed and that you had to sit in A&E. Great news that all is looking ok but quite scary for you. Very annoying about the care scan, hope your work is understanding! In a sense it’s nice to have any scans spread out to give further reassurance.

KMor - ohh not too long today, bet you can’t wait!

We had our consultation today. The Dr said they think it is highly likely that the embryo did begin to implant but just didn’t progress. He said that even though 2 of our 3 embryos were only graded as caremaps 3, they actually improved in between grading (1:2 and 2:1) & freezing so overall they think we’ve got 3 really good quality blasts. So we will start a FET cycle mid May and cross our fingers!

Oh Charly I know how you felt, it’s such a worrying feeling seeing the blood but now hopefully we know that it doesn’t necessarily mean the worst!
I agree that it’s quite nice to have the scans spaced out. How people wait 12 weeks I do not know!

Kmor I have everything crossed for you on Tuesday! Hopefully it comes round fast! Mine is Thursday.

Lucy that’s great news about your blasts! May isn’t too much longer to wait at least and gives you a little break from the meds.

Charly - good news on symptoms not being too severe. I’ve definitely got some symptoms now and I just feel exhausted / unwell - I’ve had nausea too but no actual sickness, although I just want to eat all the time which is v unlike me so I’m going to have to stock up on snacks really hoping it’s all a good sign as I haven’t felt this ropey with any of my other pregnancies xx

I’m struggling at the moment, I think it’s because last time I know the heart stopped round about now, a week before my scan but I didn’t know as it was a mmc.
Seriously dreading Thursday, I wish I could have only positive thoughts but every time I start to look forward to what may come this year I just remember how bad November was and I feel like it’s going to happen again… does anyone feel the same? You seem very positive and I see some of you have had mc.
Sorry, I want to just be positive for everyone but I don’t feel it right now xx

Hi ZLC, I think that’s completely natural, don’t feel bad for feeling that way. My first pregnancy was a mmc and it took me by complete surprise, even though I’d had some light bleeding.
My second pregnancy I started having some even lighter bleeding and convinced myself the same thing had happened again - it hadn’t, my son is almost 4, the pregnancy was completely fine! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t look for blood almost every time I went to the loo for at least the first 20 weeks - I think it’s normal to be anxious but normally a mmc happens for a really unfortunate reason and it is unlikely to happen again.
I can only suggest trying your hardest to find something else to focus on until Thursday - it’s so incredibly hard I know when a baby is the thing you want most in the world! I have everything crossed for you! x

Thank you Lucy, it really does help to hear you’ve had a healthy pregnancy after miscarriage.
I woke up this morning and didn’t feel sick for the first time since morning sickness started about 9 days ago. Now I’ve had brown spotting again and I’m crying because it’s so stressful, I have had a small amount of spotting since the bleeding last weekend but it stopped a couple of days ago now started again. its so hard not to think the worst.
I know last time having the mmc I didn't have any bleeding but this time it's freaking me out.
just praying its one of those things and not the worst xxx

Hi everyone,

I’ve had my care scan and everything is fine so I’ve been discharged!

ZLC, I was very anxious for my scan today because I thought they were going to tell me that I’d had a miscarriage, I think it’s completely normal to have those fears following a previous miscarriage! Have you spoke to your local EPAU about your spotting? I’m still having little bits following my bleed but care said my extra chorionic haemorrhage is really small now so hopefully it will stop on my first scan at EPAU they couldn’t find the source of the bleeding but on my second scan they found the haemorrhage!

Ah Charly I’m so happy for you! What brilliant news! Have they discharged you and put you through to NHS now?

I have my scan today now instead of Thursday due to bleeding so I have everything crossed but either way it’s better to know so I can sleep at night again.

Sorry Charly I forgot to say, my EPU are always so busy that I couldn’t get an appointment for 4 days so I ended up going for a private scan with the first bleed. I didn’t even call them this time, I just emailed the clinic as I know I’ll be seen quicker.
The private scan said they couldn’t see where the bleed was coming from, I’m hoping this time at the clinic they can say where (if it’s not a miscarriage of course).

Hi ladies.

Well that was emotional… she saw baby and a strong heart beat straight away. My husband and I both just burst out crying - it was so amazing to see! We’ve never managed to see a heartbeat and I was defs nervous this morning. She was a bit unclear on dates as she’d worked it out as 7+4 (which is what I’d been told 3 weeks ago when I got the positive) but the system worked it out at 7+1 and I was measuring at about 7+2. She said she’s going to call me later to confirm but either way she said it didn’t matter and we’d get a more accurate date at the 12 weeks scan. So all discharged now to the GP.

ZLC I hope your scan goes well. Glad you’ve been able to do it a few days early - the anxiety after MC/MMC is intense so hopefully this gives you some extra reassurance xxx

Hi ladies hope you all i well. Congrats on your postive so exciting.
Just need some advise i am due to do a FET next week. I am on day 17 my lining has struggled to grow. I am measuring 6.7 but the triple lining is there care said as the triple line is there i can go ahead. I know it should be over 7. Has anyone ever experienced this? Im on parches and tablets.

Kmor I’m so happy for you! So exciting!
I just had exactly the same! 7w 3 but measuring 7w 1 and he said that’s fine. Heartbeat 136 so all looking good. The relief!!!
I almost fell down the stairs afterwards, I had been so scared I was shaking head to toe and hadn’t realised!

MSS hello! I’ve had my lining not thicken twice. The first time they had to cancel my cycle because it just wasn’t getting thicker. Second time it happened was on this cycle, I was only measuring 6.4 so they sent me away with Viagra(!) and baby aspirin. I went back 3 days later and it had worked.
I would call and ask if you can take baby aspirin as it’s not going to harm and definitely helped.

Hi Zalc im glad your scan went well. I am taking baby asprin been told to stop 2 days before the transfer. Did your lining grow or did they go ahead with it at 6.3

My first booking in appointment with my midwife is next week and I’m so excited for it, have you guys registered your pregnancy’s or were you waiting for the scan?

Yes it went up a lot but I can’t remember the exact number. Interestingly the nurse scanned me and said it had only gone up to 6.7 but then I had a call from a doctor asking to come back that afternoon and when she scanned me it went to well over 7!
The doctor said she didn’t want me to have to cancel the cycle and that sometimes you can have different readings on the same day!?

Charly yes I got straight on to the local midwife department and filled out some forms so hopefully I will be seen soon too! I am so excited today xx

Charly- thank you i rang my GP today after I was discharged and they’ve booked me in for 8th May with the midwife as they like to wait until you’re over 9 weeks apparently! So exciting that you have yours next week! Xx
