I’ve just had my 8th failed cycle in October.
I’m in my 40’s so stressing as you can imagine and this time used donor eggs. We have unexplained fertility.
I’ve had pelvic pain for years and put this down to
the ivf processes especially after a very painful egg collection which resulted in a haematoma inside that no one mentioned! I only found out in my review appointment. Last year found out i have endometriosis and adenomyosis too.
This cycle was the best compared to all my others.
We had more eggs, greater fertilisation and 2 that had gone on to blastocyst stage. I’ve neve been more happier knowing that everything was going great
just for the fresh cycle not to have worked. We have one frozen but the fresh was slightly better quality,
so I’m devastated and finding it hard to move on.
I have been trying to seek support from private counselling as care only allow 3, and trying to find help online, hence i’m here.
My last 2 cycles i was on inhixa and steroids thus time also ( even though i had no need). I think my doctor is just throwing everything at me. I had my review appointment last month and shes suggested Emma and Alice testing and also ERA test. I was told the era is like a frozen mock to see the best time to carry out FET and the other tests are testing endometrium fir nk cells, bacteria etc. I know these test are controversial and are classed as red on HEFA but just wondered if they have helped with anyone.
Also they aint cheap at £1700 with everything else on top. Am only getting used to the idea of the last failed cycle but need to look forward too especially since i have the conditions above so it may grow back.
Also wondering about surrogacy as nothing seems to be sticking so not sure if better off looking at that. We did a few years ago but it just seemed so complicated especially the legalities etc and not sure how to go about it anyway.
