That’s where I got to too! My boobs have definitely changed but I’ve put that down to the progesterone…. the fiancé is most pleased and hopes that symptom continues

It all sounds positive!
And I’m the same as you, desperate to test but will be devastated to see a negative!!

Hi all. I've been MIA for a while. We have embryo transfer tomorrow. Had the call today to say progesterone is lower than they'd like so upping my lubion and cyclogest. Hope everyone is well. Our test day will be NYE but I'll be testing early x

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies
Hi all, back on this IVF bullshit again.
Did a transfer last Wednesday (13th), feeling super pregnant but probably the progesterone. Weeing 60 times a day and 30 times a night
I’m on an immune protocol too so I am full of bruises from clexane and steroids.
I’m actually feeling quite chipper though, despite all the above!
Testing day is Stephen’s day (Boxing Day). Torn between wanting to test on Christmas Day for the pizazz and not wanting to ruin the day (but it’ll be a pain anyway).
Anyway, no sign of AF at the moment and I am way overdue, but again the progesterone would do that.
Had to come back here cos noone else gets the whole thing really. Driving everyone mad I’m sure.
Love to you all

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies
Congratulations Charly123 and Mck128, that’s such lovely news.
I’m going to ring Care today and try to arrange a follow up consultation. I’ve got so many questions that I need answers to.
Also reading your posts, it seems like you’ve all had extra tests/ scans to me. I only had one scan, to check follicle count prior to egg collection, no tests to check progesterone levels etc. I just can’t help thinking my body didn’t respond well to the meds, to only collect 2 eggs and that could have meant my levels weren’t right for the transfer, hence it not implanting and coming on my period so soon!

Yes definitely question those things in a follow up! So strange you didn't get a progesterone blood test. This is what we had before egg collection and then transfer the cycle after:
Follicle scan x 2 - one is definitely routine, not sure if they always offer a second
Lining check - 1 scan for this on day 13, then given the go ahead on progesterone
Blood test - 2 days before transfer to check progesterone levels. Care like them to be 44 I believe, so we were given progesterone injections to do every 3 days.
I hope that helps! It's all such a minefield but definitely push them on stuff, especially if you are funding it yourselves and able to pay for extra scans / blood tests.
Let us know how you get on!

Yes definitely get your follow up appointment booked in!
I only had extra follicle scans because some of my follicles were growing quick and some were slow and they were unsure of how many they were going to get and when was best to trigger!
I didn’t have progesterone levels checked because they said they don’t do that for fresh transfers, just frozen ones!
And I didn’t have lining scans either, they just checked my lining whilst they did the follicle count scan!
I think there’s big differences in the tests they do dependant upon whether it’s a fresh or frozen transfer!
Hope this helps! And hope they give helpful advice and arrangements in your follow up appointment!

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies
Think I have had an early miscarriage, no bleeding or anything but my pregnancy tests positive lines have been getting lighter and the clear blue test is only reading as 1-2 weeks pregnant. Rung up care this morning to be told there was nothing they could do because they were closing for Christmas, I just wanted my HCG checking but they said they can’t because no one will chase the results over Christmas and I’d need two HCG checks 48 hours apart. They’ve brought my scan forward to 6 weeks so the 29th December!

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies
I'm so sorry to hear this CharlyF123, you must be si anxious. There's so much variation in the tests and your hcg levels could just be a little behind. So frustrating that Care can't refer you to somewhere else but it's good they've brought your scan forward.CharlyF123 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2023 7:48 pm Think I have had an early miscarriage, no bleeding or anything but my pregnancy tests positive lines have been getting lighter and the clear blue test is only reading as 1-2 weeks pregnant. I know it's hard not to worry, but try enjoy Christmas as much as you can. I hope everything goes okay at your scan, but do keep us updated!
Re: December 2023 cycle buddies
Merry Christmas! Hope you’re all doing ok and tests are still positive. I’m enjoying a drink today and praying that this time next year, we’re all celebrating with little ones. We start a fresh cycle in January

I know, I’ve felt so frustrated with care and how they handled things when I rung them on the 22nd, they could have just referred me to somewhere like you said! Dreading going on the 29th, I really didn’t want to have to have a scan to confirm it! I just wanted my HCG checking as confirmation!Mck128 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 7:35 pmI'm so sorry to hear this CharlyF123, you must be si anxious. So sorry to hear that Rebecca. Take some time to heal and spend time with your partner. It’s so tough seeing that single line
We’re decided to go skiing in France for a few days to try and get away from it all, have some fun and switch off!
Sending love to all 🩷xx
