Hiya both
Hope all is going well in the run up to your cycles.
Kim, good look for starting meds today..we've just had notification that our "audit tools" are yet to be signed off so may not get to go this month. So frustrating. Meds arrive tomorrow.
This cycle is for surrogacy. I've had 1 previous successful surrogacy ivf journey and 2 successful journeys for myself.

Hi, I’m just about to start my first cycle so this is all a bit new to me! We’re doing IVF with ICSI (Liverpool/ Cheshire clinics).
Fingers crossed for collection and fresh embryo transfer early December 🤞

I’m at the Leeds clinic, where is everybody else?
And that’s frustrating you might be delayed sooty and swept away!
Thank you, I’m actually excited to just get the process started, been looking into this process since around June so feels like it’s been a long wait! 😊

Hi everyone,

My partner and I are doing out first FET, starting meds on 11th Nov. We were unable to do a fresh transfer due to OHSS so very much newbies here.

We're based at the Leeds clinic.

How are you getting on with your injections? My partner has been the one taking all the medication and I'm in awe at the ease she does them all now!

We're about a week into our HRT FET medication, have our lining scan next week so hopefully all looking good ready for December transfer.

They’re actually fine and I don’t feel any side effects so far! And that’s good that she’s doing them so easily too!

What day is your lining scan?

I’ve got my scan on Saturday to see when I’ll be ready for my egg collection! 😊

That's good you're doing so well on the medication! I'm honestly in awe watching my partner take the injections and just amazed how you all do it ❤️

Our scan is 27th and transfer booked in for 4th Dec. Nervous energy is starting to float around in our house again 😅

I hope all goes well with your scan on Saturday and there's lots of follicles!

Aww, I hope the scan goes well!
The 4th December, that’s very exciting!
I think if everything goes to plan for us, we’re doing a fresh embryo transfer so our transfer should be the week commencing the 4th December! 🤞🏻
And I know what you mean about nervous energy!
Here’s hoping for Christmas miracles for us all! 😊🎄🤞🏻

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

Hi all :D new here..

Had my EC 13th November. 15 collected, 12 fertilised and 8 blastocysts. Was a freeze all due to chance of OHSS (I have poly cystic ovaries).
My embryos are all 2-2’s and 2-3’s so was a bit disappointed with this result after reading they usually discard any with 3 grades. Has anyone else experienced this?
Had fresh transfer booked in for 17th November but was cancelled when I got there as had some OHSS symptoms. Took my last progesterone pessaries AM 17th so am now waiting for my cycle to start. Will then start estrogen and progesterone ready for my FET in December (hopefully).

That's great you have 8 embryos! I wouldn't worry too much about the grading- I've heard lots of success stories with lower graded embryos.

Hope you're feeling okay after having OHSS. My partner had it and said once her cycle started she instantly felt better. Here's hoping you can start the FET in Dec 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hi,

I’m new to all this too so can’t comment from personal experience but from what I have read when doing my research on these forums, I’ve read lots of success stories from lower graded embryos too so try not to be disappointed 😊

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

We had our egg collection yesterday and after having our scan on Wednesday, things were looking so good. We had roughly 20 follicles with 6-8 between 16mm- 19mm. After egg collection, we were told they were only able to retrieve 2 eggs as most of the follicles were empty. To say we were floored was an understatement. Waiting for the call today to find out whether either of our eggs have fertilised. Praying for an absolute miracle 🙏
