Hi there!
Thought I’d start a new thread for those cycling in April. All being well I should be starting a frozen cycle in 10-14 days but hinges on PGTA testing coming back in time and there being an embryo to transfer. We should just get the results in time or have the option of starting meds regardless and hoping for the best (!).
Anyone else due to start soon? x

Hello!
I am hoping to start a frozen transfer cycle beginning of April - timing is period dependent but I'm hoping 5-6th April.
Had an IVF cycle and a fresh transfer in Feb which unfortunately didn't work - so feeling a bit demoralised but got to give it another try

Hi all,
I had my egg retrieval on 1st feb and got my first periods on 10th Feb. No sign of periods so far after that but I am hoping to do FET in APril as well.
Did you get your second periods on time? Super annoying as I don't want to wait more...

Hey! Sorry to hear your transfer wasn’t successful in Feb but hopefully you’ll find the frozen cycle is the one. It’s much easier on the body so you can feel much more rested and prepared for transferLG2023 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 10:50 am Hello!

Congratulations on getting past egg retrieval! It’s by far the hardest stage so is great it’s out the way. My periods always have gone AWOL with IVF to be honest but if you find your periods aren’t coming speak to your clinic as they can usually bring one on to speed things up. But longer cycles or even shorter ones aren’t unusual

Re: April 2023 cycle buddies
Hi, I am hoping to start my next cycle at the end of April. I cycled with Kim89 in Nov and also sadly found out I had had a mmc at my 12 week scan. I was planning on trying again straight after but have realised I actually needed a bit of a break and am also hoping to get away for a long weekend on the bank holiday weekend so the plan is to start meds 26th April so I can have scans and transfer when I’m back from holiday. I am very lucky and have a nearly 2 year old boy from our fresh transfer xx

Re: April 2023 cycle buddies
Hey! Welcome to the group but so sorry to hear about your MMC. It’s good you took the time you needed albeit with your almost 2yr old I bet you’ve been rushed off your feet (!). We were lucky to have success from our first egg collection (cycle 3) but our little one is 10 months so still very much at the baby stage. Feel bonkers for even trying again so soon but we wanted to make new embryos (none left from our fresh and I’m 38 soon and husband is 42 this year) and then felt we wanted ivf behind us really. So this year we will transfer our embryos and see what happens. We did PGTA and got the results back so know we have 3 euploids sitting so hopefully that’s 2-3 tries as always possible one may not thaw. Anyway enough rambling from me (!) hope you have a chance to relax over the coming month so you’re ready and raring to go at the end of April! xApplecart wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 7:35 pm Hi, I am hoping to start my next cycle at the end of April. Re: April 2023 cycle buddies
You’re completely right. We go through a lot but I told myself I needed to keep going until such a time I knew wholeheartedly I’d done all I could or ran out of money (!). I think we all do that but the horrid twists and turns are hard to move past sometimes. I’m just so sorry about your experience and hope you’re doing ok. We were ‘lucky’ that our MMC was a twin (the other one is my 10 month old) and didn’t need intervention but it hit me hard and I often think about them. I never thought we would cycle again but here we are, trying to do what we can to give her a sibling but if it doesn’t happen from our 3 euploids we can know it wasn’t meant to be x

That sounds like a really sensible way to look at it givingitatry. I think if we can afford it, we will try with our remaining embryos. Fingers crossed this round will be the one for us all xx

Thanks for the kind words xx
I got my periods yesterday and started taking the tablets. My transfer (most probably) will be on easter holidays. Does anyone know if the Care clinics are closed during easter or they will be open?
I will be calling the nurse tomorrow as I could not reach them today or yesterday.
Best wishes to everyone

Re: April 2023 cycle buddies
That’s great news your period arrived! If you’re on a fully medicated cycle the timings won’t matter so much as they can time your transfer to fit. If it’s a natural FET then it’s possible it can be cancelled as there isn’t the flexibility on timings xaylarana wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 3:52 pm Thanks for the kind words xx

Re: April 2023 cycle buddies
Hi everyone,
Hope you don't mind me joining on the thread, I've been chatting on the March thread but I'll go through my 2ww in April so thought I'd say hi here too
We're currently going through a FET cycle after a fresh freeze all cycle in Feb due to hyperstimulation. I had my first scan on Tues and all looked really good, lining was measuring 10.5-12mm which they were pleased with as wanted it above 7, so hopefully that's a good sign
I have my embryo transfer booked for this Tuesday and I'm currently a bit anxious waiting, not wanting anything to get in the way of it and hoping soooo much for a positive result!
Bit of background, we're incredibly blessed to have a 6 year old boy, conceived through IVF following 6 negative IUI treatments but we had no embryos stored so we've started again this time, and I think I forgot how hard it all is
Anyway I'm waffling a bit! Just wanted to check in and say Hi and good luck to everyone, wherever you are in your journey

. I'm not going to be starting until end of April this will be my 3rd cycle 2nd frozen after positive in December which ended in mmc but
for my next cycle.
Good luck keep us all updated x

My first lining scan is booked for 7th April, and the nurse said they wouldn't cancel the cycle just because of the holidays. Feeling positive

Your history is similar to mine in a way - successful ivf but no frosties left so a new collection this time round. Had mine the start of March and had OHSS so had to freeze all! Waiting for my period to come then away we go hopefully. So I’ll probably be about 3 weeks behind you I expect. It definitely is tough and I’ve found having a child has made it harder physically but mine is 10 months old so might be due to chasing after them most of the day! I hope your 6 year old is easier and allowing you time to rest but expect that’s a pipe dream

Re: April 2023 cycle buddies
Hello all
hope you don't mind me joining either!
I'm similar to Badders87 in that my 2ww will fall over Easter. Our FET is tomorrow, I'm just waiting to hear back with a time. I've had my lining scan which came out at 9.6mm and a progesterone blood test yesterday with a result of 89, so all good to go!
A bit on our history - my husband had chemotherapy over 10yrs ago which has affected his fertility, hence needing ICSI. I also have polycystic ovaries and hypothyroidism. Our first egg collection we got 10 eggs, 7 mature but only 3 fertilised. We got 2 1:1 blastocysts but had a chemical and BFN.
Fast forward to our egg collection in January this year we got 11 eggs, 10 mature and 9 fertilised, so a lot better result. We ended up with 5 blastocysts. I had another fresh transfer of another 1:1 embryo but again that resulted in a BFN. So this is our 4th transfer and praying for positive news. Surely the odds will be in our favour eventually. But if not, we're lucky to have 3 further frozen embryos. Hope everyone else is doing well x

How did you guys feel while taking estrogen tablets. Today I feel the worst, my nausea is getting severe and i literally could not work all day. I went to the Boots pharmacy and got myself anti sickness tablets for nausea that made me sleepy. Is it normal? I am still far from the embryo transfer, but this way I don't see myself working. If any of you felt the same, what did you do to cope with the nausea? Please tell me there is something to make it easier

Re: April 2023 cycle buddies
So sorry to hear you're feeling so unwell with the estrogen, I remember last time I felt really sick with them but this time I've been ok so far, I wonder if it's worth you giving the clinic a ring and speaking to the nurses about it?
