Re: April '23 scans

Hi ladies!

Sounds like we are all having lots of anxiety this weekend.
On the symptoms, I definitely had a couple of days where my boobs suddenly didn’t feel sore at all but now they are back to feeling sore again. It really worried me but I think it must be normal for symptoms to come and go, maybe it is hormones fluctuating?
I am headachy again today too 🙁

Lindalu - I’m sorry you’ve still got the brown bleeding, hopefully the is is just normal for you with this pregnancy but totally understand the anxiety you are feeling.
I am drinking gallons of water 😂

Nark - hope your husband is ok, try not to panic, even if you do get it, it could be mild and have no impact on the pregnancy. Like the others say try to isolate if you can or open windows to keep fresh air circulating.

RPishopeful - glad you’ve had some reassurance from EPU but understand the anxiety until the scan next week when hopefully you will be able to see that it has progressed.

Hope everyone else is ok and managing to pass the time somehow! X

Hi AA28, sorry for the delayed message. I was referred to EPU as I had left sided pain so they checked for an infection, did a US and found that the sac was in the right place. I was 5 weeks and 4 days at the time. They couldn’t explain the reason for the pain but didn’t want to treat it due to the early pregnancy that was forming.

I am having massive pregnancy anxiety as well as my symptoms seem to be disappearing so I am just worried the scan won’t be a good outcome. I can’t everyone is worried about the same but I am hoping we all get to see our little one’s heart beating away. Hope you are trying to keep busy this weekend xx
Exactly the same happened to me they didn’t know where the pain was coming from one of the junior doctors said my leg pain was not concerning.
Are they re scanning you?
I have another scan with EPAU on Friday. Like you I am
Worried and anxious.
Did you also have pelvic pain or was it just leg pain? I assume the docs put the leg pain down to sciatica or early pregnancy muscle / joint pains? It was quite traumatic as they did a physical pelvic examination and I was in so much pain at the time. It is reassuring that the pregnancy is in the right place. I have open access for emergencies only but they will not be re-scanning me again because Care’s scan is 1 week from their scan. I need to update them on Tuesday. It’s good they are monitoring and re-scanning you for reassurance x
So I had abit of groin pain but it was more like a dull ache. Very had to explain. That’s good you have open access they have said the same to me.

Re: April '23 scans

Hi Ladies, I hope you are all doing well.

I am the same, my sore boobs are nearly non existent and I get the occasional nausea in the morning and ingestion throughout the night. I think this is a common theme we are all experiencing so it must be norma and hormone related. I know we are all anxious and hope we can all stay sane in the next few days. I will have everything crossed for us all for our scans this week.

Nark - I hope your DH is on the mend from covid.

Lindalu - I am sorry to hear about the spotting and hope it has now subsided. The good thing is you are not cramping, I think I read you had to change pessaries so it could be your cervix might be a little irritated. I am using cyclogest and sorry for the TMI, but I am inserting them rectally as doing them vaginally was stressing me out.

Rosie82 - i know steroids have a lot of side effects so the thirsty thing could be steroid related. I think it will be good to speak to the midwife after the scan. I am also getting headaches which worry me but then it could be a side effect of the meds? Well that’s what I am hoping 🤞

Have a good Sunday xx

Hi RPishopeful, hope you are ok.
I don’t feel quite as thirsty today thankfully so will just keep monitoring it for now I think. I have more nausea so hoping that is a good sign but it does come and go. I just hope these symptoms coming and is normal because so many of us on here are having the same experience.

I am also doing the cyclogest rectally as when I changed from Utrogestan it caused thrush. I find it is much better this way and less messy (once you’ve got over the fact that’s what you’re doing! 😂) so Lindalu may be worth you trying that if your clinic says that is ok as may help reduce any irritation that might be causing the spotting.

Hope you are feeling ok with the anxiety. I am very up and down and have been very snappy this weekend so my poor husband is having to put up with a lot! 🙁

Hoping so much we all get good news for our scans next week.
Hope everyone is ok and having a good weekend X

Thank you for reply Ladies. I'm going to do it rectally on Monday I think. I don't even want to think about the symptoms anymore, they cause me way too much of anxiety. I will just have to wait. Have a lovely evening ❤️ x

Hi ladies

Atleast the weekend is very nearly over.
This cycle I have been doing the pessaries rectally and it’s been so much better.
Last time it caused me alot of irritation and with the bleeding it didn’t help.

Nark how is your husband feeling?

Hi, he’s not feeling too well at all but luckily (for me, not so much for him) he is in the army so we have a house at his barracks that I’ve been able to send him off to so I can limit the risk of me catching it. I keep testing and negative so far. How are you doing? Xx

LindaLu wrote: Sat Apr 01, 2023 3:47 pm Nark - sorry to hear about your husband, hope he is not feeling unwell, please try to isolate if you can. I had covid too, but my husband never got it despite sleeping in the same room (not in the same bed).

Rosie82 - just keep drinking water, I've had very dry mouth since positive pregnancy test, but still worth to ask midwife

RPishopeful - I'm anxious too, I'm thinking the same about my symptoms. Plus I need to go to work on Monday and sit there for 12h

JSMS and Nark - I've got similar, feeling like my smell got more normal now, boobs are not as sore too...

I'm brown spotting again... Means old blood. No cramping, nothing major I hope. I'm getting extra anxious now. I keep worry about my brown bleeding, maybe because I was lying on my stomach for few minutes?? I'm tired, generally still feel bit of a heartburn and thirst... I just feel weird and anxious😞 x
Thank you, luckily he’s in the army so has gone to our army house to try and limit the risk to me. Just praying that I didn’t catch it during the two days he was back at home but my tests have been negative so far 🤞🤞. How are you feeling about the scan tomorrow? Xx
