Re: February 2023 cycle
Hey, that’s amazing, I told you, some will pull through, they just need an extra day. 5 is an amazing result and gives you a good chance at testing and having at least 1 or 2 back that are euploid.Givingitatry wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 11:55 amSo latest update is they are planning to test 5RPishopeful wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 9:21 am
Hi Givingitatry, that’s amazing you have 3 good embryos to test and you will be surprised how some of the others can catch up after just having a few hours or one more day to develop. I will have everything crossed that you have a couple more to send for testing to give you better chances of having an euploid coming back but 3 is a really good number to begin with as well. I was 37 when I did egg collection last oct and we sent off 4 for testing and 2 came back normal, so 50% odds which I was pleased with. You have done the hardest part of the journey for now and you have to wait a couple of weeks for the results before you decide on what to do next. I am so sorry you have been feeling low. It could be hormones as there was a lot going on inside of you or the fact that you didn’t get to transfer but if it is the latter, the only thing I would say to try and make you feel better (it may not work sorry lol) is that they say sometimes after a fresh, you should let your body recover and return to normal, a frozen immune protocol was successful for you previously so you know it can work (I appreciate it is not guaranteed but I am very hopeful) and this way you get to spend the rest of your Mat leave with your little one giving her full undivided attention before she goes nursery and you work.
Transfer went as smoothly as it could go yesterday and I am officially PUPO, the difficult 2ww starts. Thank you for your kind words and hopefulness. I am praying and visualising this is the one I bring home but only time will tell. A modified FET is so much easier on the body as it’s less meds, I was Letrozole for 5 days, cetrotide for 5 days, steroids, pessaries, Lubion and now blood thinners. My progesterone levels reached 99 on Tuesday so I am super happy about the combination as it seems to be working. On a frozen medicated FET, my levels only reached 35 I think.
I am sorry your heart does weird things on the steroids too but thank you for mentioning that so I know it’s not only me lol and you have had a success with them despite the heart doing weird things. The things our bodies do and react like with medication. It is hopefully a good sign that things are working as they should be.
It’s good the clinics reserve some for worse case scenarios etc. the science is weird as I used it in my fresh to down reg lol but I am glad it worked for you.
I hope you find yourself feeling loads better over the next few days. Stepping away from boards sounds like it’s the right thing to do right now. Thank you for all your support and for being our cycle buddy. It was lovely to hear from you again. Sending you loads of support and strength. I will post my update on OTD. Take care lovely xx2 others have moved on to have enough cells to biopsy and the other one is unlikely to get there but they will keep a watch. All are 2:2s which I’m happy with considering my age. I’ll get a final update this afternoon on how many the biopsied successfully and frozen. Then we wait until we hear but if we get 5 I’m hoping we have at least 1 euploid, maybe 2
I think the feeling low is partly the anti climax of it all plus hormones. It has been so much to take on right now and keeping it a secret from family has been tougher. This year though we will close the door one way or another and be able to get on with our lives.
Congratulations on PUPO! So glad it went smoothly and although the protocol is easier it’s still a lot for your body so make sure you’re kind to yourself! Your progesterone is blooming brilliant - hooray!! Making a nice lining and environment for your embryoI’ll keep an eye for your update in due course. I hate ‘stepping away’ as people are so kind to me on my journey but this round has broken me a little more. I sense it’s because I’m fearful of a similar issue to last time of chemicals or a MMC
I’ve been left quite battered from the ivf process and the unfairness of it all and know I’ll come out the other side but think this is bringing back all the anxiety I had before. It’s not for the faint-hearted but we have to know we tried everything before we can close the chapter I guess.
Take care and I’ll pop back on in a week or so to see what’s going onx

It could be a number of things and you have to do what’s right for you right now. IVF is such a rollercoaster of emotions but you should be proud at what you have done in this cycle so far already. You have been through so much and the process whilst giving good news can also be quite unkind. Be kind to yourself and take care. If you can, pop on and let us know your results. I will keep checking for your update

OHSS has now gone, just! Now waiting on PGTA results but will be at least a few weeks yet. So impatient to know if we have any euploids! Then we can decide when we try again x
Re: February 2023 cycle
How are you feeling LindaLu? I think this wait until the scan is going to be the worst! Xx
Re: February 2023 cycle
Hi all, hope you’re doing well wherever you’re at in your cycle. It is my OTD today and thankfully still got a BFP. Scan is hopefully going to be 4th April, just waiting for the clinic to confirm xx
Re: February 2023 cycle
I'm quite busy with life at the moment, just had some bad news recently and my life is revolving about that. I'm symptom spotting, recently started getting up with funny feeling in my mouth, like a some sort of nausea which is going away after food. I really try to this k positive. I'm planning on doing clear blue test a week after positive test, so on Monday to see if there will be 3+ now.
How are you doing? Hope all good
