Oh gosh Luckybabe, I am so, so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine what you must be going through. I hope you are being well supported in the hospital and that they might be able to give you some explanation as to what happened to cause the loss after it all being okay until now.
Stay strong lovely- thinking of you xxx

There are no words that will comfort you right now.
Take time to grieve and feel all your feelings x
Take care
Re: December cycle buddies
Hope everything is ok Oneday, sounds really scary but hopefully it was something normal

Oh god Lucky I’m so so sorry to hear of your loss
as HDT says hope you are getting the support you need along with some answers. Just take your time xxxx
HDT - no the vaginal part was quite the shocking surprise for my last round thats stuck for this one! And yes they are so fiddly it’s quite hard to do haha… it gets a logistical nightmare when I have to throw 4 utrogestan into the mix as well! Myth or not you can bet I’ve been nailing the pomegranate!
I had a works do last night and allowed myself a small Prosecco and a single g&t, feel like a right rebel

Hi Everyone
Went for my scan on Friday, there was a heartbeat, 117BP, measuring 6+2 which is correct by my estimations.
The clot was the size of my palm I was certain we were out.
I'm still not counting my chickens but I am grateful to be still in the running. I will get my BETA results on Monday.
Thanks for your kind words they were a massive comfort.

Hey Gem
I missed your comment about your oestrogen tablets, I had no idea either they could be used vaginally. I am hopeful that your lining will get there!!! You've got a few days to get it where it needs to be. Pls update us next week

And yes... loving making babies...I kinda wish I could get my friends and family to watch it but it seems only the people going through it or thinking about IVF are.

Oneday I am thrilled for you that all seems ok!!! The blood clot sounds really scary but hopefully your results will put you at ease tomorrow
Lining Scan is at 10am tomorrow so will up date you all, hopefully I am back on track. So far no steroid side affects which is great.
My in laws have watched Making Babies (so sweet) and they were pretty shocked by it all. Think they have a new found respect for me!!

Check that plushy lining out!!!!
Amazing news, and worth the wait! Everything is heading in the right direction x
I too had good news, beta was over 15,000. I decided I'd go for my scan tomorrow as planned. I gotta take this week by week. I need to know 5 days after my bleed all is well.
How's things Kate?
HDT what did you decide regarding the trio? Will you be able to have it in Feb?

Re: December cycle buddies
All OK so far I'm tracking one day ahead which is good so 7+1 now.
Sickness has hit comes in waves and I've still got a constant headache so I'm happy but also quietly feeling sorry for myself, I don't want to grumble bc if those symptoms disappear I'll be a mess.
I had a little pink when I wiped during my early hours wee last night so I'm gonna book a private scan at 9+6 to get me over the line.
God I wish this was fun, the drama is exhausting!

Re: December cycle buddies
Hi Gem!
I've only just popped back on here so having a catch up. Thank you for thinking of me. Transfer was last Thursday and to the exact day like the MC last transfer I've been getting referred back pain and this awful bearing down pain like I'm about to push a bowling ball out (Sorry TMI
Aside from me though, I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a time of it with your body playing silly buggers, it's just typical everything goes off when you're due to start a cycle!! Where are you upto now and how are you getting on and feeling about it all this time around? Sending lots of positive thoughts your way and hoping body plays ball ❤ x
Re: December cycle buddies
Oneday so glad the scan went well and that your body behaves itself before the next scan! I know it must be so hard to relax and enjoy it all. And you can definitely feel sorry for yourself with the sickness without feeling guilty!
Kate, really hope it’s just that you’ve tested too early? Are you going to test again in a few days? Hope it’s not over for you this time

those symptoms sound so painful, hope you’re ok xxxx
All ok my end now, body seems to be back on track. Start back on the pessaries tomorrow and then upping my steroids on Saturday along with adding in the inhixa blood thinners. So just gearing up for transfer on Tuesday. I’m feeling ok, really want to get myself into a positive mindset, very hard to dust yourself off everytime isn’t it. But I have to believe
and I do take comfort in having major changes to my protocol. Hopefully lucky embryo number 4 wants to stick with us xxxx

Gembryo, great news your body is back on track, I'm sure that's eased much of the anxiety for you and Tuesday will be here before you know it, hopefully that embaby will get nice and cosy with your new protocol and brings you that special resultGembryo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:07 pm Oneday so glad the scan went well and that your body behaves itself before the next scan! It's so hard to get yourself mentally ready, after each knock back it takes a little more of that positivity away and can be so wearing so understand those emotions. Are you taking some time off work to give yourself some you time?
I think I remember you being a bit unsure about the steroids, how are you getting on with them? Hoping no side effects! Do you mind me asking what dose you're on? I'm on 20mg from day of transfer but I've read a real mixture of dosages and start dates etc with other ladies. Seems every clinic has a slightly different way of doing things so always interesting to hear and always good to query on reviews etc!
Thank you Gem, I'll keep testing until Monday but feel like period is due imminently sadly, endometriosis is just the gift that keeps on giving and pain is my indicator, really wanted to believe I had it this time and its so hard because your body can't tell you "Why". If only hey!
Please keep us posted with how you get on, really rooting for you and the other ladies too that have transfers impending xx
Re: December cycle buddies
You’re exactly right Kate, the mix of emotions is mad. The third failure knocked me terribly but I’m trying to focus on a bit of positivity! I’ve got Tuesday and Wednesday off, work let me take a couple of days without taking holiday or sickleave which is really helpful.
I followed your advice on the steroids and haven’t googled anything and been relieved to have no side effects at all. I’m on 10mg a day and from Saturday I’ll be on 20mg which gives me 3 full days on that dose before transfer. Funny how all the clinics are different isn’t it!
I’m so sad that you feel your period is imminent, it’s so bloody hard. Keep testing in case and take whatever time you need
I’ll still be keeping everything crossed for you just in case xxxx

Re: December cycle buddies
Hi ladies,
Sorry got a bit behind with catching up on here.
Gem- So glad to hear that your body got back on track and that you have a transfer next week. Those 6 tablets a day certainly did the trick for your lining didn't they- what a great thickness you had at your scan! That is so good of work to let you have some days off- they sound very understanding.
Oneday- great news from your scan last week- sounds really positive so far. Got everything crossed for you that it continues to stay that way going forward. Is this your first transfer since all your tests last year?
Kate- so sorry to hear that you tested negative. I hope that it is just because it is too early- did you use a FR test?
I am going ahead with the trio testing. Had a scan and blood test (thrombophilia etc) on Monday. Lining was fine- although I forgot to ask what the thickness was and she didn't tell me. Had to start taking the progesterone pessaries at exactly 8.30am yesterday. Evening time doesn't matter but the morning ones must be 8.30am everyday. Got a biopsy at 8.30am on Monday morning so assume the time is so they know exactly how many hours of progesterone I have had when they do the biopsy! Only just occurred to me that it may be painful
Currently feeling okay about it all- main worry is how long the results will take and then how long it will take to get a review appointment! Was told that results can take three weeks and that you can't schedule a review appointment until the results come back - which could cause a bit of a delay as after my last failed FET I had to wait 3 weeks for a consultant review! Just feel the clock ticking! xxx

Re: December cycle buddies
Hi Kate
I'm sorry you think your FET didn't take. This process is so unfair and exhausting.
HDT- the biopsy isn't unbearable they tell you to take paracetamol beforehand. I will say I had a twinge in my neck when they did it (so weird) !!! Apparently the nerves are connected.
This is my first FET, all my testing started in 2021 via private and NHS, I signed up with Care in May 2022, had 2 egg collections in July and September. FET Jan 2023. It's been a long journey as you all know yourselves.

I hope you're doing ok and feeling OK about your biopsy tomorrow?
Will be thinking of you and hope it's not too uncomfortable
I'm also going ahead with the ERA test so interesting to hear about your experience. I know what you mean about the clock ticking, everything just feels like time stands still when you so desperately want explanations and results. I can't understand why they're so funny about making you wait to book reviews, I tried on Friday as I'm still testing negative but was told I must wait until tomorrow ODT!
Hope everyone else is doing ok and had restful weekends
Re: December cycle buddies
Good luck tomorrow HDT!! Hopefully all the testing will speed things up in the long run for you, but yes time feels to go so fast in ticking away and yet excruciatingly long at the same time!
Sorry to hear it’s still negative Kate
sounds like you have your next steps planned and taking control which is good to see. Really hope you’re coping ok, it’s so hard xx
I started the Inhixa last night, WOW do they sting!!! X

Re: December cycle buddies
Hi Gem - transfer tomorrow if I'm correct? ❤ How are you feeling about it? Hope you're doing ok, hopefully mixed with some excitement to know your little Embaby will soon be getting nice and snug
Sorry you're struggling with the Injections too, they are super painful! I find doing it quickly helps and some ice on afterwards for a couple of mins and the stinging eventually stops x. Are you injecting into your stomach or inside of thighs?
HDT, I hope your biopsy went well today and you're not in too much discomfort.
I spoke to care today and turns out I can't have the ERA as I'm not able to take Oestrogen so back to the drawing board. On the plus side, review is only a week away and hopefully timed well to go again with next ovulation. Hoping if we try some antibiotics alongside the probiotics, steroids etc that if there is any issue that the TRIO looks for we'd be ruling that out
Hope everyone else are all doing ok xx

Re: December cycle buddies
Hi Kate, yes transfer tomorrow! I am excited and hopeful that this is the one
I was under the weather for my last transfer so nice to go into this one feeling well. The nurse said I had to do my stomach for the blood thinners, I would prefer the option to mix it up with thighs. I will double check tomorrow though as I’m going to run out of belly space that’s not already sore
That’s great news that you don’t have to wait too long for your review, and hopefully a plan in place to try something new for next time! Keep us posted. Might be a blessing that you can’t have the trio. How come you are not allowed the oestrogen? Xx
Yes HDT hope you’re recovering ok after today
xx

I'm keeping absolutely everything crossed for you and will be thinking of you tomorrow. Glad you're feeling excited and hopeful, especially with your new protocol with the immuno support, hoping this is the one for you and those pesky painful thinners are worth it ❤ another step crossed! I think you said you were taking some time off after transfer, have you got anything nice planned to distract you?
I know what you mean, my poor tummy is full of painful little, hard lumps, the life of a pin cushion
Thank you! I'm hoping it brings me some answers more than anything. I've had a blood clot myself and my grandma died of a brain embolism and when I was put on an oestrogen pill I was Hospitalised with severe headaches resulting in a lumbar puncture querying a clot/bleed so firmly told to never touch the stuff again, pushing it with the progesterone as it is as I had severe headaches this cycle which was nearly stopped just after transfer so I'm a little apprehensive. No hormones = no IVF!
Re: December cycle buddies
Thank you lovely
yes I’ve got Wednesday off and I’m just going to have a slow day, nothing fun planned - just not being at work is the benefit
Im out with the girls on Friday for a curry and im panicking as I can’t inject myself, might have to have hubby drive over and inject me in a car park

what is this life haha!
Gosh that’s so scary with the oestrogen and blood clots! must be awful to suffer with the severe headaches too! Hopefully there’s something they can do to help you next time xxx
It does worry me about the future affects of this massively high dose of oestrogen I’m on, but just got to go with it I guess! X
