Good luck tomorrow Gem!!! Enjoy the duvet day and the curry...yum! If your husband pops over to inject that is true love right there 😜

HDT888 wrote: Thu Feb 16, 2023 9:59 am Hi ladies,

Sorry got a bit behind with catching up on here.

Gem- So glad to hear that your body got back on track and that you have a transfer next week. Those 6 tablets a day certainly did the trick for your lining didn't they- what a great thickness you had at your scan! That is so good of work to let you have some days off- they sound very understanding.

Oneday- great news from your scan last week- sounds really positive so far. Got everything crossed for you that it continues to stay that way going forward. Is this your first transfer since all your tests last year?

Kate- so sorry to hear that you tested negative. I hope that it is just because it is too early- did you use a FR test?

I am going ahead with the trio testing. Had a scan and blood test (thrombophilia etc) on Monday. Lining was fine- although I forgot to ask what the thickness was and she didn't tell me. Had to start taking the progesterone pessaries at exactly 8.30am yesterday. Evening time doesn't matter but the morning ones must be 8.30am everyday. Got a biopsy at 8.30am on Monday morning so assume the time is so they know exactly how many hours of progesterone I have had when they do the biopsy! Only just occurred to me that it may be painful :? Currently feeling okay about it all- main worry is how long the results will take and then how long it will take to get a review appointment! Was told that results can take three weeks and that you can't schedule a review appointment until the results come back - which could cause a bit of a delay as after my last failed FET I had to wait 3 weeks for a consultant review! Just feel the clock ticking! xxx
How'd it go today HDT, feeling ok?

Thanks lovely ❤️ I reckon it’s the least he can do haha! It’s that or pick somebody who’s drank a bottle of wine 😂 I should man up but I really don’t think I could do it xx

Hope you’re feeling ok! Xx

Re: December cycle buddies

Hi all!!

Gem- hope your transfer went okay today? Quite jealous of your duvet day tomorrow! Girls night sounds like an great 2ww distraction, have fun! Epic husband points if he comes to you ok your night out 🤣 My first ever injection for my egg collection was moved early by a day and it coincided with my husband being away for the night with work. I was freaking out at the thought of doing it alone and being home alone so I had to make his mum (ex-nurse) come round at 9pm and jab me 😅

Oneday- yes I can understand what you mean about it feeling like a long journey! Especially as things seem to take ages! Sounds like your testing before putting anything back in has worked for you so far 🤞 how is your pregnancy going so far, I can't remember where you are at with scans?

Oo interesting about the neck twinge!

It went okay I am glad to report - I would say it was uncomfortable but definitely bearable. Had one or two twinges after but that was it! Kate..have you have a hycosy test? If you have then it was no way near as bad as that! For me, it felt like a sharp stabbing pain high up inside me. The nurse practitioner who did it was soo nice! She loosened the speculum a bit as she could see I was in pain with it and then half way through the procedure as I was quietly going eeeeee in pain (lol) she stopped for a few seconds to let the pain pass which I appreciated.

Not sure what the difference was between asking and reception and asking the nurse but she did actually book me in for a consultation for the results in 3 weeks time, so that's good!

Kate- sorry to hear that you tested negative this time. Happy to answer questions you have about it all and I will update on my progress. So far my main thing to say is that it's not a quick process. my last transfer was Dec and my next one will be either beginning of April or the cycle after that, depending on if they need to do any re-testing. Do you have a review meeting in place now? Hope you don't have to wait too long xx

Re: December cycle buddies

Morning HDT, glad to hear everything went well and wasn’t too painful! Keeping everything crossed that you get some answers for your next transfer 🤞🏼

Transfer went well thank you, actually felt like the most straightforward one to date. I have a tilted uterus and my cervix doesn’t like to let the catheter through so it’s always a bit of a mission to get everything in place but was good yesterday! Was also allocated the only bay in the waiting area that we’d not been in yet, so hoping it’s my lucky bay 😂
The picture on the screen is always so blurry for me so I couldn’t see loads but the embryo is on board. Just need lucky number 4 to stay with us now 🍀

I’m glad it’s not just me who can’t face injecting myself! I can’t look when it’s being done which is sort of integral if you’re doing it yourself 😂

Hope everyone else is ok xxxxx

Lol.i chuckled at your lucky bay Gembryo 🤣

Glad it was a smooth transfer this time. How is the tww going so far? And has hubby had to come and meet you on your night out tonight? 😅

Kate and Oneday- hope you are both okay!

😂 at this point I’ll cling on to anything haha!!

In the end my friend did the injection in the toilets for me, we looked like a pair of druggies in the restaurant but apart from that it went ok 😂

TWW is dragging so much already, and had a couple of stressful days at work, which has made me stressed about being stressed!

Hope you’re recovering ok and the wait til results time isn’t dragging too badly for you? Xx

Well I’ve tested at 11dp5dt and it’s BFN so guess I’m out the running again 💔💔💔 OTD not til Monday but think it should have shown up today if it was bfp.
I was feeling so positive and hadn’t been as crampy as previous failed cycles.

Oh Gembryo, I am so sorry to hear this news 😢
I am sure other people have experienced a late positive though so don't give up hope yet!
Did you use a first response test or just a normal one?

Take care of yourself this weekend and do something nice for yourself. 💞

I am finding the wait a little bit dragging now...got a review meeting on the 13th. Mainly just want to know when I can next go again now! Getting a bit antsy as feel like the months are passing by without a transfer. Can't even really use the months to try naturally as I have found I struggle to get a positive ovulation test in my next cycle after being on the estrogen. Do you find this? This month may be different as I wasn't on the drugs as long (19days) but we will see! Xx

Thank you lovely xx

Trying not to give up total hope, bit annoyed that I didn’t just wait til OTD now because I’m in limbo land.

The waiting is so awful for you, hopefully the review meeting will give you some answers to get some control back. I’m not sure on the ovulation as I’ve not tried using the sticks, so interesting though what you said! X

Morning Ladies.

Thought I'd pop on and see how everyone was doing.

Gembryo, I'm so sorry to read this. That heart sinking feeling doesn't get any easier mixed with the unanswered "why's" and "what's", makes it feel so raw and unfair. Hope you've got plenty of support around you and like HDT said, take some time out for you x
An open ear here to have a rant if you need ❤ thinking of you!

HDT, I hope the next week and a bit flies by for your review. Totally get the frustration of waiting, as I said to my consultant last week, once you're on this rollercoaster you don't want to/struggle to take yourself off until you get the result you're so desperate for! Have they given you a rough idea at all or are you completely in the dark?
Not sure what ovulation tests you use but the clear blue ones are amazing and super accurate.

I was deemed unsuitable for the ERA test and thought I may as well just take a probiotic/antibiotic and go again. So 4th transfer should be in the next two weeks. Changed the protocol slightly but I feel so different to the first two cycles. I'm totally numb and feel no excitement/worry which confuses me but my consultant said she hears that from a lot of women as a way of protecting themselves.
It just feels soo painful when you have this desperate longing and it's met with constant failure. I wish for all of us to experience the gift the others can achieve so easily. Sending positive thoughts to you all x

Hi Kate, thank you so much xx totally get what you mean about the rollercoaster, I want to get off and stay on in equal measure!!! I’m glad you are feeling ok with the changes to your protocol and hope this is the lucky mix for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼

That numbness is real, I haven’t even cried today. I’m not feeling anything at all. You’ve made me feel better about that! And I know what you mean, how it all comes so easily to some people. The story in the news this week about the couple who left their baby to die in the woods??? How were they selected to be parents and we haven’t been yet? Unfathomable x

It was the clear blue test I used this morning HDT, forgot to reply to that x

Hi Gem.

Just thought I'd pop on and see how you are doing? I hope you've managed to have a restful couple of days to look after yourself and take things easy, been thinking of you ❤
I was exactly the same after my last transfer, no tears to cry and it made me question everything, whether that was me "giving up" etc. Sometimes you need to hear from someone else going through it, that they've felt it too.

Totally agree with you about that awful couple - evil, evil people that don't realise what a precious gift they are blessed with. I hope they never see the light of day again! Makes my blood boil!

HDT, hope you're doing ok. Another couple of days down and closer to your review 🥳

Re: December cycle buddies

Thank you so much Kate, you’ve really made me feel better about my numbness. Exactly as you said, I’m worried I’ve given up but I guess it can’t be that. Just our hearts protecting ourselves maybe. I felt so different to last cycle, my hope was much higher as well.
I’m sure the tears are going to come when I tell people, I haven’t yet - telling my parents breaks my heart. I didn’t test today as I thought I may as well wait til tomorrow to do my OTD test and call Care after.

In slightly more positive news I did inject myself last night!! I was at the theatre and there was no way for husband to come over and my friend is more squeamish than me! Was very proud of myself! (I hated it and don’t wish for this happen again 😂) x

Hi Gembryo

I'm sorry that is a shitty result. Numbness is a valid feeling especially when this process is so damn hard all the damn time. The good news is barely good and we struggle to see the positives, the bad is so bad we have to constantly figure out if we are prepared to fight or flight!

Kate - if you don't mind sharing, why were you deemed unsuitable for an ERA? Agree taking probiotics won't hurt! I hope your are happy with the next steps.

HDT - hang in there, so some nice things next week so the time goes quickly!!!

Sorry I went to ground, I'm really scared and anxious all the time so keeping my time online to a minimum. I am in my usual loss week(s) so mostly hiding in plain sight and reminding myself that I have no control over anything and I need to accept what will be will be (even writing that makes my angry/upset/all the feels...)

Thank you for the lovely words One Day, really sums it up. Unsurprisingly OTD and still BFN so I’ll ring Care shortly and get our review booked in.

I’m so sorry to hear how you’re feeling, that must be so scary and exhausting - it’s totally understandable though xx when is your next scan? Xxx

Hi Gem, So sorry to hear that your test was still negative. Hope you are okay? Did you manage to get a review consultation booked in? Do you think you will go for the Trio test this time or go again with the steriods?

Hope you are doing okay Oneday? I have found the IVF anxiety (before a positive test) to be so consuming so can't imagine what the anxiety your experiencing is like- hang in there.

Kate32- good news that you can go again so soon. That has made me realise just how long I have been out of it for! Like Oneday said- I would be interested to know why you were not suitable if you are happy to share? I have used the clearblue before but I found them to be unreliable - I got a lot of errors so a lot of wasted sticks and I thought they were quite expensive. I never used to have a problem with the cheapo line tests and would usually know when I have ovulated so this is becoming a little strange (same thing happened this month). I used to borrow a friends device called 'Mira' which is this fancy analyser that can test for levels of progesterone, LH and oestrogen in your urine and it would give you numeric values not just a line. It was great- but she needed it back as she is trying for baby2.

Not long to go for my review now- I just hope the results are all back in time as when I range on Wed, the lady on the phone could not seem to see the trio results yet! xxx

Hi Ladies.

I hope everyone is doing ok?

Gem, how are you feeling? Have you managed to book in your next review? That next goal/focus x

Oneday, sorry to hear you're struggling, those emotions are so tough, such a mixture from highs and lows and when the lows hit they're so hard to shake off. Totally understand taking yourself offline bit, hope you're looking after you ❤

HDT, nearly review day for you, hoping it brings you a clearer plan and you'll be preparing for treatment before you know it. I can only imagine how hard the wait has been, I struggle as it is so can only imagine how difficult it must be. Are you feeling OK about Monday? (I think you said it was)

So I was told for the ERA they have to put you on oestrogen and sadly I can't take it which is super frustrating and leaves questions totally unanswered! Transfer booked for Wednesday next week 😬

Re: December cycle buddies

Hi ladies, thank you for the lovely messages. It’s been a tough week, I was all tears Monday/Tuesday with the usual anger/sadness/grief all coming out. I’ve tried to pick myself up the rest of the week, just been quite tiring. Finally thought I’d get a good nights sleep last night and got woken up with the pain of my withdrawal bleed starting but good to start getting that out the way! Mainly been consoling myself with cookies and mini eggs!
Review booked for 20th so not too long to wait, just hoping for some clarity or focus as you said Kate.

Hope all goes well on Monday HDT 🤞🏼 keep us posted!

Wow Kate, Wednesday!!! That’s amazing, so soon! Hope all goes well and you have a bit of time off to chill xxx

Re: December cycle buddies

Hi Kate,

Thanks for thinking of me 🙂

Apart from my levels of lactobacillus being a bit low (mildly inconsistent was the terminology she used) everything came back normal! Which I guess is good news but on the other hand, I think of kind of wanted something to show up that would explain our lack of success so far and give us something to change on the protocol!
My ERA was done pretty much after 120hrs on progesterone and it showed that the endometrium was receptive at that time which means that they match that timing in my next cycle which I guess is something positive that's different.

I explained that I was already taking probiotics (oral and one course vaginal) prior to the biopsy and wondered whether this meant I needed more but she just said to do another course of the vaginal probiotics. She said that they have more of an impact than the oral ones. She said they would share the list of vaginal ones they recommend so I can share that with you all if that is useful.

So, good news is I can go ahead with my next cycle...bad news is that transfer will likely be the bank holiday weekend!

How are you feeling about Wednesday Kate? That is soon, so happy for you that you don't have wait long. I assume there the beauty of it being a natural rather than medicated cycle?

Gem- hope the cookies and mini eggs have been helpful to the consolation process. That withdrawal bleeds is always hard isn't it, but like you say at least it's out the way and you can move onto the next steps in the process.

Xx

Thinking of you all today, hope you’ve not found it too tough 💔

Totally know what you mean HDT, you almost want something wrong with you so you can feel it’s being fixed! But that’s great news that they know exactly when you will be receptive 🤞🏼

How did it all go Kate? Hope you’re feeling ok!xx

I have my review tomorrow so will report back. I had a counselling session with the clinic on thurs and I mainly discovered that I’m just very angry! So I have a lot of questions to ask tomorrow!

Has anyone had a hysteroscopy?

Re: December cycle buddies

Had my review today and we’re going to transfer my fifth and final embryo with the same immune protocol of the steroids and blood thinners. But I’ve had some issues with period day 1 so we’re going to try down reg with Buserelin this time to control my body a bit. Also instead of having the expensive tests, she’s added in antibiotics and probiotics I.e the treatment we’d have if those tests were positive so can’t hurt to take them.
Agreed if I have to go to a second whole new round of IVF that we’d embryo test and perhaps ERA x

So I guess good feeling as there’s a few changes. A different feeling being on my last embryo of this round, feels a bit more on the line this time x

Hope you are all ok x

Re: December cycle buddies

Hi Gem,

Sorry for the slow reply, been enjoying a life away from IVF and TTC for a few weeks which has been actually quite nice and refreshing!

Sounds like some really positive steps from your review which is good news! What probiotics did your consultant suggest?

I am having to have another month off as when my period started meant that transfer fell on the bank hol and apparently they were not doing FETs that weekend. Seemed strange but didn't think complaining or challenging it would change anything so I didn't. We are using this break to go away for 3 weeks which I am excited abkut. It has also meant I am having my first month that is not on estrogen and isn't a withdrawal bleed since Sep so think my body is appreciating this I am hopeful I will ovulate this month! 🤞 Borrowed a friend's Mira fertility analyser so I can see my actual LH and estrogen levels.

When do you start your down reg and then estrogen Gem?

Hope everyone else okay xxx

Re: December cycle buddies

Hey HDT, that sounds ideal in the end, I’m sure the holiday will be amazing and just what you need! With all the bank holidays in May I’m a bit worried about the timing too!

I started downreg yesterday which is day 21. So I think it’s 7-10 days until the bleed, just hoping this will make day 1 much clearer.

Re the probiotics it’s Canesflor which you take 6 of on consecutive days, and then 1 a week for 4 weeks(pessary) . Also take Optibac daily (oral) xx
