Re: Feb/March cycles

Hi all,

So glad to hear all the transfers went well yesterday - welcome to the agony that is the 2ww! 😅 great news that there are some lovely little embryos frozen for next time if needed too! ❄️🍀 And reassuring to hear it’s not just me who struggles with my skin!

I resisted the urge to test today (day 7) - me and OH both working tomorrow, I’m having my hair done on Sat and OH taking daughter to a party and he’s working on Sun (day 10). So I think it’s going to have to be Monday on day 11 as we’re both wfh that day, if AF hasn’t already arrived! My resting heart rate has dropped again today, now 3 bpm below transfer day so I really am not hopeful. 😢 x

So we are cracking on with the Busetelin ready for our FET. Will start taking estradiol on Sunday and lining scan on the 3rd March.

Anyone else on a similar timeline?

Wishing us all good luck. :D

I hope the heart rate is just caused by you having more restful days or being calmer but I also think that when we know we know and then very hard to convince us otherwise. Hi all!

Im currently in my 2WW and thought I would finally join a forum! I’ve been reading all of your lovely stories and nice to see lots of BFPS recently!

My short story - same sex couple, we had 6 failed rounds of IUI in 2020, applied for IVF with care (finally got married whilst we waited - stupid covid!) First round of IVF with DS, EC was 19/02 collected 18 eggs, 16 mature, 11 fertilised, 3 day 5 blasts, one was a fresh transfer yesterday and waiting to hear today about a couple that might be day 6!

So OTD is 9/03 (which is my birthday!) and as much as I need distracting I keep finding myself on forums haha!

Hi L & J,

Welcome to the group 👋

Congratulations on the transfer and having 2 frosties. That's great news 😃

I really do hope you get an amazing Birthday present. My OTD is the 8th and it's my 40th Birthday on the 11th so hoping for the same and if not good news I'm planning on eating all the prawns and camembert with a bottle of prosecco instead!

It's really nice to have other people to chat to who are experiencing the same things and all rooting for you so feel free to share here and we'll help each other get though 😊

Take care and good luck xx

Hi L&J,

Our story is similar to yours and I can completely relate on so many levels. How are you feeling? Hope you’re able to take some time away from work/stress and relax. Did you hear about your day 6 embabies? Really hope it was a good outcome for you.

Our OTD is the 6th, so we are just a few days ahead of you.

Hi!
I didn't have to down reg this time so straight onto the estradiol on day 1.
It may be worth ringing thr nurses and double checking to see what they say.
I've had 2 periods since my last cycle (fresh) and both been heavy (sorry tmi) but normal dates.

Hi purple - haha, you are right, I so do! Thank you for that, made me feel more sane 😆 you could be right about my rhr too, here’s hoping. I would never be so happy to be wrong! The progesterone doesn’t seem to keep my period away on fresh cycles annoyingly, though my consultant seems to think it’s nothing to worry about as it doesn’t come *too* early. If still no AF by Mon/Tues I’ll be more hopeful!

Hope you’ve managed to rest over the last day or so and are feeling ok?! Any nice weekend plans to keep you busy? X

Hi MB42YO,

Mine was on a Thurs so I took Fri off then rested over the weekend and back to normal on Mon. I took more time the first time, but got a bit bored and it didn’t seem to help, so I haven’t bothered since! I also figure if it’s going to work, it’ll happen in the first few days anyway, so probs doesn’t make much odds after that?! And helps to keep my mind busy (in theory anyway 😂) x

Thank you for the warm welcome :)

Few OTDs close together how exciting! Hoping to resist the urge to test early! We managed to wait until at least the day before with the IUIs but we’ll see lol

Unfortunately the 2 other embryos weren’t suitable for freezing but super happy that we have 2 in the freezer :)

Feeling fine today, very mild cramping today but not for long at all, I work from home so can still relax whilst working luckily!

Good luck to everyone!! Xxxx

Hey everyone,

Saw some brownish discharge on applicator this morning so did a test and it was negative (day 9). Expect period is on its way, but will carry on progesterone until it fully starts and re-test in a few days if it doesn’t. Not a shock, but obvs disappointing all the same. Just feels like it’s never going to work for us and hard to know when to stop - this was third round and embryos 4 and 5 x

Oh Lilac I'm so sorry 😔

I know you were just feeling that this hadn't worked but with a double transfer and being hopefully after the tests I know much be so hard. This will be embryo no.5 for me and we've had discussions about when we accept it won't work for us but it's really tough to know when that point will come.

I'm sorry I can't remember if you had any frozen from this round? Sending you hugs and hope you've had a nice hair cut and your daughter enjoyed her party. Tough to just keep going when that's going on around you so take some time for yourself to feel a bit sad when it sinks in. Xx

I am sorry to hear this Lilac, it’s just so sh**ty, please take some time and be kind to yourself. I hope you can get a review with your consultant soon and determine any next steps you wish to take if you choose to go on. It is difficult to know when to give up when you want to reach a goal and complete your family. Sending you big hugs.

This is our 3rd cycle with embryo no 4. I don’t know if this helps and if you have already done this, but before I embarked on this FET, I did some level 1 and level 2 testing and found that I have have some issues so they put me on an immune protocol. I don’t know if it is going to work or not yet but it made me feel a little better going into this FET knowing there was a change in protocol.

I hope you can try and have a nice Sunday xx

Random question....are you continuing working or have you taken time off?

Hey,

I took transfer off but working the rest of the 2ww. I think if your job is stressful having a few days to chill to start with is nice then for the last week being busier helps!

Thank you! I think I'll do something similar and take couple days off and then work but try not to book in anything too much at work either!
