I’m so sad, had the scan. Confirms I’ve had a missed miscarriage. Unbelievable I could tell in the drs tone the yolk sac was there but no fetal pole. So so cruel

I’ve had a day of crying and nap, plus chats with good friends. I’m grateful for my son who’s given lots of love today and kept me busy.
Journey isn’t over and I’m already thinking of next steps. Onwards and upwards for the future.

Hi all

My scan (8 weeks) was meant to be today, but they had to rearrange it for Monday- by which time I will be 9 weeks.
Still no symptoms, although my skin is a bit dry on my arms - think I’m trying to cling on to anything as a good sign.
Had some more brown blood the last two days, but not as much as last week. Dreading Monday now- finding it hard to stay positive. This is our only shot at IVF, as we only got the one decent fertilised egg; however we were given a 7% chance of it working in the beginning so feel lucky to get this far.

Wannabeicismum- when is your scan? I think it’s soon?

Hopefully it’s just part of all the medication we are on, and that it passes when we can come off it.
How many weeks will you be on scan day?
I’m with Care Manchester, but so I don’t have to travel there for every scan there’s a satellite clinic run by a local drs I can go to. There is only one dr who can do the scans and she couldn’t do today or tomorrow. Not sure the reason why, but she will tell me when I see her on Monday I am lucky as it’s the same person who scans me so she knows what I’m like.

Oh that's lucky. I'm at Sheffield so 1hr 20 drive each time if traffic is good to me.

Hopefully I will be 7 plus 1. That's what I have worked out anyways. Part of me is excited the other is petrified. I really wanted to be different this time round but it's just a constant worry all the time.

I def feel the constant worry too....my OT is trying to be supportive but it isn’t really helping. I know part of it is that I am so lucky to have come this far, so I can’t believe it and the other part is the worry it will all end when we’ve got so far.

We have been lucky-ish as we have seen a heart beat and even got a picture from our scan at the EPU. Going to treasure that little picture for a life time 🥰

Indeed, I am close! I currently have no symptoms, so am a bit worried. I’ve been irritable the last few days… but unsure if that is pregnancy or general anxiety? I’m 7 weeks today. I’ve kept doing tests as it’s the only indicator I have. They look strong still but who knows. Scan is 3pm on Monday.

I did have lots of sickness but that's gone now.

Just sore boobs. I'm trying not top look into it too much.

If it’s good news just can’t wait for the 12 weeks, when it starts to look like a little person, as I think I will start to believe it more then!

The control line being very weak is a good sign, it means the hcg is very high!

No good news for me I’m afraid.
Baby was there but only measuring 7-8 weeks, when it should be 9, but there was no strong heartbeat. I’ve been referred to the EPU for a scan tomorrow for them to confirm the news.
I think I’ve been expecting this, although it has still hit me hard. More so it was seeing my husband break down as we were told.
I’m so glad I have my little picture from a scan couple of weeks ago, that little blob will be a very treasured memory.

I’m so sorry it wasn’t good news Longshot. I so hope you’re the exception and you get better news tomorrow. If not, I hope they get you in for a review meeting in not too long. It’s such an emotional investment. I hope you are as okay as you can be in this situation.

My scan went alright. She struggled to find anything at first. Then said it was very small. She saw a heartbeat, and measured 12mm. I think something was obscuring the view as she wants me to come back and have a scan next Friday, I’ll be 9 weeks then.

Here to talk if you need to longshot. I’ve had quite a few emotions but been very busy and distracted but trying to list up ideas for next time and questions for the review.
It’s not over just yet for you. I’ve got my second scan on Wednesday to confirm but I’ve been really active again since finding out so I doubt any miracle will happen for me.

I'm very nervous for my scan I've had cramping all the way through. Trying to be hopeful as I do have some early pregnancy signs and hoping nit just from the meds.

So I had my scan today and all went well. I've officially been discharged from CARE I hope this post can provide some hope for you guys left to scan. I've been on absolute pins this last week. I've been bleeding what's exactly like a light period, some small clots too and having period pains. But I'm currently measuring 6 + 5 weeks. It's still really early days so I don't dare get too excited yet but just so happy today went OK. It's going to be a slog waiting for the 12 week mark that's for sure!

They can see what's causing the bleeding but didn't seem too concerned about it. Will go to epau next week if it carries on so they can see what's going on.

I too have had symptoms that have been on and off. Sore boobs, sore boobs gone and waves of sickness etc so you really can't go off the symptoms, even at this stage 🥴

I've to take the cyclogest (progesterone pessaries) now until I'm 12 weeks, along with the estrogen (yeeee ) but I couldn't feel any luckier.

Thank you. They've told me to monitor it at home for now. It has calmed down a bit, but if it's not stopped in 48 hours or I get worried about it, I've to go in as an emergency. They said it's unlikely for something to have changed from my scan so quickly. Time will tell with this one I think x
