Post IVF pregnancy scans what's involved.

Hi All.

I am just wondering after you get a positive pregnancy test on IVF how many scans/tests do you get and when E.g is it 7 weeks 9 weeks and 12 weeks then you go under the hospital?

Is there anything else you need to get done in this time?

Thank you

Hi, for me I had my 7 week scan by Care and all was fine, they discharged me at that appointment. They advised I contact my GP or midwife to book in for the next steps.

I called to register with the NHS midwife that same day (then had my booking appt with her around 9-10 weeks - this had blood, bp, urine tests), and the next scan was the dating scan at the hospital around 12 weeks (bloods also taken at this appointment if you want further screening tests - all info about these is on NHS website if you look up the 12-week scan info).

So after the 7 week scan, it just followed the normal NHS pattern for me. Hope that helps x
