Unmedicated IUI

#1 Post by Ericandjill » Fri Nov 29, 2019 7:16 pm

Hello,
Just after some advice/reassurance. I am in a same sex couple hence needing treatment with donor sperm. I had a successful IUI cycle in March and actually conceived twins but unfortunately had a silent miscarriage at 10 weeks. It took until last month for my cycle to be anything near normal and I started another cycle with 100mg clomid. Had a scan cd8 which showed I had 6 mature follicles so cycle was cancelled. Tried again this month with half dose and again today on cd9 4 mature follicles so again cycle cancelled. Dr now wants to do unmedicated iui cycle but I have read really poor success rates with these versus medicated so dont know which way to turn with it. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks x

Hi!

I just saw your post now,
I am not sure my advice will help you. I had 2 IUI unmedicated and both failed. I was 40 when had it, now 41. I had an IVF in November , successful but had a miscarriage at 8 weeks.
In terms of IUI I think it does depends on individual, age, quality of eggs.
Good luck xxxx

Hi

I had unmedicated IUI not even a trigger just home ov tests and I'm now 27 weeks preg! Best advice is to really get to know your body and cycle signs

Good luck
