Yay Char, given the circumstances, it sounds like everything is coming along really nicely. It seems with everything to do with getting to a THB, patience is required! 💕 Hopefully it won’t be long before the UK situation improves and things begin to open up. Then you can really get things moving along. I hope you enjoy the courses, I’m sure they’ll be invaluable.

Lucky, how are things going for you? Any more news on c-section dates or your birth plan. Happy 36 weeks! 🥳🎉💙

Jade, I’m wondering if you might have even had your twins? I hope all is well at your end 💕

Lisa Maria, I hope you’ve settled into your new house a bit more? 💕We’ve nearly finished the unpacking, but are waiting for some new furniture/storage solutions to arrive.

Zacharysmum 💕

So, yes, 36 weeks today 🎉🥳 and actually feeling pretty good! I’ve had a couple of days where I thought he was making a break for freedom, as he was wriggling so much (which is a little uncomfortable these days!) but today, he’s back to a more sedate pace of movement. Nearly got the house straight and beginning to get started on the nursery. Waiting for a cot and wallpaper to arrive though. Have gone for an animal theme in mustard and navy 😊 Unfortunately, back to work for a couple of weeks for me tomo 😔 Wish I could just start mat leave now! Since I’ve been chatting to you girls for so long, I thought I’d try and post a pic of my bump - hopefully it’s worked!

Hi Moosestar,

The picture hasn't appeared unfortunately.

Hopefully the training will be really good. There will be other couples too so it will be good to meet them.

I also have a feeling that Jade's twins have arrived.

Hey ladies ,
Yes I keep expecting to see a birth announcement on our forum every time I have a look, as jade and moosestar and lucky are all so very close to the big event !!

Char that’s lovely to know the process is ticking along well for you and it sounds just as full time a job as going through ivf !! And just as worth the fight too of course . With persistence and faith and patience you’ll get there bit by bit x

Moose star it’s good to hear that you’ve done so well with the move and unpacking in time for your impending arrival ! We’ve come along a lot more with ours but it’s been a slow process with having a very active toddler around 😂 I’m learning to accept mess more for sure and find peace with what has actually been achieved rather than stress on what bits are still to organise . We’ve had a lot of purchases too like a couple of big mirrors, fridge freezer , had to get a toilet fixed as previous owner left the main loo in bathroom with a dodgy flush/ tank 😖, we got Theo a nice big play pen .. various things so it’s good to get things sorted but felt like a marathon too one after another & we still not done as having some work done on the staircase soon to improve/ modernise it’s appearance & awaiting electrician to review/test whole electrics and probably get spotlights done for lounge 😅😅
Your nursery sounds like it’ll be lovely; will you have baby with you to sleep in your room though first?
Transfer - wise we’re still holding on until restrictions ease more I think , as I can’t even ask my parents for any help with childcare really or a hand around the house etc if I was to start the process during this tricky lockdown and plus not sure how safe it’d be to receive any immune therapy ie intralipids right now . Will put the question to my consultant via email anyway but obviously we all know the risk is present until the transmission rate of the virus becomes negligible... it’s got such a lot to answer for this virus does ...
Shame your pic hasn’t appeared ; I too would love to post one of my little guy one day on here& it’d be lovely to see yours too of course x

Hi to jade & zacharysmum too xx

Look forward to all your updates x

Good to hear from you Lisa Maria! I can’t imagine moving with a toddler, a big playpen sounds like a good idea 😊 At least you can keep tabs on Theo whilst you have to shift things about. I think what you said about appreciating what you have achieved and letting go of what hasn’t is very good advice for any parent of young children 💕- I think it’s a lesson I will need to learn fast! That said, I’m hoping we can squeeze in as much as possible before baby arrives! 😊 Yes, baby will be in with us for the first 6 months or so, we’ve just set up the co-sleeper this weekend 💕 And I ordered a new cot and dresser - a bit naughty, but I found the navy ones I wanted that would deliver- yay!

I think it’s probably a wise move to wait a little longer until transfer, I don’t suppose it will be too long before things open up for the UK. Here we’ve had ‘bubbles’, so at first we could bubble up with one other household and then it progressed to 4 households. Maybe the UK will adopt a similar approach and you’ll get the support with childcare? This coming weekend, here most of the restrictions are to be lifted as we’ve had no new cases for 25 days and only 1 active case remains. Please do post a pic or 2 of Theo 💕

I’ll try the pic again...

Love to all

So av never bein so confused before or stressed!! Had midwife today she said baby bum was down as felt wide but cudnt find the head!! Told me he deffo breech and won’t turn so cud have c section if wanted and just to tell them got all my hopes up as sent me to hospital today for a little half scan just to see we’re head is to confirm this and to tell them not too well as started with diarrhoea today after weeks not goin to loo! Anyway get to hospital they say what I here for they shud know as she rang them waited a hour as it was. Got took in room and did the scan with really small machine show me baby head which was down! So got another midwife in she felt and did the scan said same his head down so said wil give u proper scan to check so sent In room with someone else she said yeah head down low not 100 percent engaged but gettin there! She said midwife was feeling his shoulders! So basically from Thursday private scan he’s gone head down as he was breech there too. Anyway they said he deffo head down and maybe my body gettin ready for labour to why got diarrhoea today bad so to keep eye on it and stil go back Friday for scan and doctor to make final choice! But not one person knows if he head down proper and midwifes ain’t clue!! She convinced me today I cud have x section and that he was deffo breech am just fed up with it all now not sure what to think x

Sorry to hear that you’re having such a confusing time Lucky! It sounds like baby is defo head down now, which is really good news 😊 I’m surprised it’s been so ambiguous, as by now, they should be able to see on a scan pretty easily! When I’ve watched my growth scans, it’s easy to tell. Maybe he does keep moving, but I doubt it, as you would defo know about it each time it happens.

Sounds like he’s starting to make his own way out - diarrhea can defo be a sign that labour is soon to start - how exciting! We covered this in our antenatal classes. Keep us posted! 💕

OMG! Lucky, that sounds scary - hopefully it just sounds worse now than what they are actually going to say. I’m not surprised your scared and upset 😔 At least, to the best of your knowledge, you know that your baby is safe and well. Keep this in mind. I hope the call gives you some answers, but I’m so sorry you have to go through this!💕 Stay strong 💕 and good luck 🙏

Just seen your update- I would demand an appointment or at least an explanation from one of the team - they can’t make you wait. It’s too unreasonable.

Wow, that is some news to take in Lucky 😔 But as you say, it’s not necessarily going to be passed from the donor - your baby could be perfectly healthy 🙏🥰 Did they give you any other information? Or is that all they know? Have they suggested a course of action, or is it just wait and see?

As for your birth plans, I would go with what your gut is telling you. It seems like you’ve received a lot of conflicting information and my instincts would tell me to listen to the medical advice, because we want our babies to be safe, but if there is something that you disagree with, question them and see if there is a safe alternative that would work for you, baby and the medical team?

I hope you feel better soon - I’m sure it’s all the stress that’s causing you to feel off. I hope you can get things to a happier place, so you can relax 💕

Tomaz is my scan and I have to make mind up what birth I want as my midwife said wil they tell doctor I want c section but she advises natural as safer but at min am not copeing with the movements from him or little twinges so not sure I will cope with labour so am stil thinking what to have. Ano recovery be better after natural am just stuck confused ect x

I'm sorry to hear what you are going through Lucky. It's shocking.

It must be very hard knowing no one can visit you while you are in hospital. But we are all behind you and you can post messages on here if you are able to. We are thinking of you.

Just think of the beautiful baby that is going to be in your arms very soon 😍

I’m so sorry Lucky - it’s just been so stressful for you 😕💕 As Char says, you’ll have your little boy in your arms soon and all this craziness will be over. It’s such a shame that you will miss your son’s birthday 😢 Maybe he’ll have to have an official birthday when your back from hospital with his little brother? Try to let the professionals take the stress and you try and focus on you and your baby and what’s important. Hospital will be tough, but maybe take some peace from the knowledge that you’re in the best place for your baby? Make sure you take some things in to entertain you and of course we’re here to chat if you want 💕💕

I had my midwife appt today and yesterday to put together my birth plan. My Ob wants to induce me at 39-40 weeks, but I’d rather wait to see if he comes naturally if I can (no harm to baby). She’s going to explore my options and let me know. Most likely I’ll go for a sweep around 39 weeks and hope that gets things started. I feel much better for asking all the questions and getting a better understanding of how things will work on the day. I wish you could have had the same experience Lucky 💕

Char, I hope you’re faring well 💕
