Hi all,
I have been on and off these boards for years. I am yet again going for another IVF. I had 3 miscarriages in June 2012, Nov 2012 and March 2013 all after IVF with great looking embryos. Unfortunately they did not test POC so we have no idea if embryos were normal or not. I had 2 ERPC's and one natural miscarriage. All very traumatic. Miscarriage was after good HB at 6 +4 weeks.
We are going again for a final go. This time we are having CGH testing on day 5-6 and freeze all to wait for results. We are having this treatment abroad with a very trusted clinic. (I have already been there 3 times).
I am really nervous. We have had all genetic testing whicvh is normal. Katyotyping for both of us was fine. There is no genetic abnormalities in either family and I have a 5yr old son who is also IVF. All physical investigations have come back normal for me. I do have PCOS. Immunes are also normal however I do take clexaine, prednisolone and injectable progesterone when I cycle.
I am 36yrs and was wondering what is the likelyhood that we will get any normal embryos for transfer. We were initially diagnosed with unexplained however when looking closer DH has poor morphology and motility though plenty of them and I have PCOS but I do ovulate.
Any advice, thoughts or encouragement would be great. I am starting stimms in the next week or two with egg collection likely to be 18 Feb.
Thanks
Jazz.xxx

Hi jazz,
I've often wondered whether you'd cycle again after all you've been through...
For us the array enabled us to have Matthew (only Chromosomally normal embryo out of 4 top grade blasts) They were tested on day 3 I think day 5/6 is more accurate as I remember someone posting about embryos autocorrecting (?) if tested on day 3.
Anyway good luck. I would have suggested menovit for your DH but he'd need to take them for 72days to improve swimmers so that's no use!
Love noggin x

Jazz, sorry no experience of aaray testing but wanted to wish you all the luck with your forthcoming cycle and I will have everything crossed that your little one gets the brother/sister or maybe both that he's wished for.
I know how you feel about the strong desire to carry on for a sibling, it took us 7 attempts to achieve our dream of a sibling for Oliver ( successful with our final cycle de, a wonderful gift from my friend)
It will be worth it, stay strong and hopefully the end of this year will bring you and your family your dream
xx

Hi Vip, Lovely to hear from you. I remember you cycling for your youngest. I am not sure if we cycled together at some point. I always feel a little guilty about so desperately wanting a sibling but desire is strong and I do not feel ready to give up yet.
This will be our 6th attempt since Arthur. 3 FET's and 2 fresh ICSI cycles. 3 miscarriages which is why we are going for CGH. Looking quiet on here though.
I will let you know how I get on.
Your two are gorgeous. Congratulations.xxx
