PGD funding - what is the latest?

Hi everyone. Does anyone know the latest on funding now that it has changed to clinical commissioning groups? We had a failed cycle at nottingham in april and are desperate to go again but care are telling us we just have to wait until funding is confirmed and they are not able to get any info on when that might be.

Can we do anything to progress things? Hate feeling so helpless!
Thanks

Hi
Not sure on the latest policies I'm afraid. I'm currently on my second fresh funded cycle, with a frozen in between. I'm Notts as well. But We got this funding agreed last August, this has just been first chance to use it, so I don't know if it has changed since then.
I'm sure it won't take them too long to come up with a decision.
Best of luck.

Hi there - do you mean a PGD cycle? I think you need to get Care to apply for more funding for you. If it is PGD you need to speak to Karin who is the PGD coordinator at Notts, where I am being treated. Hope this helps!

It is preimplantation genetic diagnosis. I think the funding rules for anyone with genetic issues relating to fertility are different than funding for straight ivf. Just checking you are posting on the right board! Whatever your situation, Care are the people to speak to to confirm funding.
