Hi!
Does Care use the company Bluegnome(?) based in Cambridgeshire?
I was under the impression at our recent review Manchester currently use the Array CGH on day 5 freeze the blastocysts then viable ones used on a frozen cycle and Notts biopsy on day 3 embryos then replace on day 5?
Are there any plans in the future for either of these clinics to change their protocol to use the 24sure array testing or trials comparing different methods?
Many thanks,
Noggin x

Hi there,
Yes CARE have used BlueGnome. But now the BlueGnome service has been transferred to Genesis Genetics, under the name of Genesis-24. Embryos can be biopsied on Day 3 for Day 5 transfer, or biopsied on Day 5 & if the sample is received by midday the report will be available by midday on Day 6. The Genesis lab is located at CARE in Nottingham. With Genesis-24 the rapid CGH technology means embryos no longer need to be frozen. We are constantly evaluating and assessing the methods used.
Hope that helps.
