Why is the Care Fertility Forum closing?

However, as patient engagement increasingly moves towards social communities, we believe we can offer a more accessible, engaging, safe and supportive experience through our new official Care Fertility Facebook Community.
When will the forum close?
The forum will remain available until 25 August 2026, after which it will be permanently closed and no longer accessible.
What will happen to my data?
When the Care Fertility Forum closes, forum accounts and content will be permanently removed in line with Care Fertility's data retention and deletion processes.
The forum is separate from Care Fertility's patient records and treatment systems. Closing the forum will not affect your medical records, treatment history or ongoing care with Care Fertility.
Can I download my posts or save information before the forum closes?
The forum does not currently offer a download or export function.
If there are any discussions, posts or information you would like to keep, we recommend saving them manually before the forum closes. This could include copying and pasting text into a document or taking screenshots of content you wish to retain.
Please note that once the forum has closed, its content will no longer be accessible.
Why are you moving to Facebook?
Facebook provides a more accessible and user-friendly platform that many patients already use. It allows us to create a more active community, improve engagement, provide professional moderation and offer additional support through expert content and community activities.
What is the Care Fertility Community?
The Care Fertility Community is our new official Facebook support community for current and former Care Fertility patients.
The community will provide:

- A safe and professionally moderated environment
- Trusted information from Care Fertility
- Opportunities to connect with others who understand the fertility journey
Who can join the Care Fertility Community?
The community is intended for current and former Care Fertility patients.
Membership requests will be reviewed to help ensure the community remains a safe and supportive space.
Do I need to be a current Care Fertility patient to join?
No. Former Care Fertility patients are also welcome to join and share their experiences in support of others.
What if I don't have a Facebook account?
A Facebook account is required to access the Care Fertility Community.
If you do not wish to create a Facebook account, you can continue to access support, information and resources through the Care Fertility website and your clinic team.
Will Care Fertility staff be involved in the community?
The community will be overseen and professionally moderated by Care Fertility through our dedicated Community Manager, Lauren Barker, who is both a Care Fertility employee and a former Care Fertility patient. This combination of professional oversight and lived experience helps create a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for members.
The Care Fertility Community is built on peer-to-peer support, giving members the opportunity to connect with others who understand the fertility journey, share experiences and support one another.
Can I get medical advice through the Facebook community?
No. The community is designed to provide peer support and general information.
It does not replace medical advice from your Care Fertility clinic team. If you have questions about your treatment, please contact your local clinic directly.
