Hi Ladies hope you’re all doing well.
Lucy that’s amazing news that everything looks good and hopefully everything will continue to at your next scan. They don’t seem concerned about the bleeding which is reassuring.
Cheshirekat that’s good you got your meds
Rebecca I hope everything goes well tomorrow and they give you some answers you are looking for.
I went for my beta blood test earlier so waiting for those results. I feel like I’m coming down with something atm so feeling rough and sore throat etc. I had stopped bleeding Friday/Saturday with the odd bit (you know how it is) but then today I started bleeding a bit again so not sure what that’s all about x

Had another scan 7w6d today - baby has grown and everything measuring right - 12mm. Officially discharged from Care! It’s hard to believe after 4 years, about 7 non-starting cycles and 3 transfers!

Hi everyone
I got my blood test results back showing I’m not pregnant now so everything seems to have gone back to normal. Will see when the nurse calls to sort out next steps.
Rebecca how did you both get on?

NGU, I’m sorry, I know if you’re anything like me you were probably hoping for some sort of magic result in the blood test.
Meeting with consultant went really well. We had a really frank discussion about things we’re not happy with, next steps etc. it’s looking like we’re going to do an Endemetrio test next to try and figure out the optimal time to transfer, and then go from there..
My wife was amazing in the meeting. She’s great at that stuff. I said what I needed to but managed to not get too upset. My heart’s just a bit broken still to be honest.

Rebecca I know exactly what you mean, seeing that positive and getting it taken away so quickly is awful because no matter how early it is and knowing the risks of miscarriage etc you still plan your future and imagine how things are even though you try not to think about it and get carried away. For me it brought back loosing my little boy earlier this year and reliving that all over again and in a strange way loosing this one so early was better than at 16 weeks because giving birth is so much harder seeing your baby than going through something this early but don’t get me wrong I was totally distraught as every loss is difficult.
We are booked to speak with our consultant on 4th Dec… that was the earliest! It just means we won’t be doing anything until the new year now which seems ages away and I wanted something in December as I’m not getting any younger! X

Wishing you the best Rebeccca, it’s always hard having to talk through what’s happened but hopefully they can give you some options for next steps
Cheshirekat - hope you’re feeling ok and the spotting has been the same or less! Interesting to know about the prescriptions. I’m on probtogest so not as expensive!
NGU - hope you’re doing ok

Sorry ladies, just realised that my phone clearly hadn’t updated your last set of messages before I’d replied!
Cheshirekat - amazing news! Must have been lovely to have another scan. I’m sure it feels a bit odd being discharged!
NGU - sorry to hear you’re still having some bleeding. What you say about an earlier loss being better than a later one makes sense, but still deeply sad & triggering all the same.
Rebecca - glad to hear the consultation went well. Sounds like some great team work with your partner to get the best out of the conversation and that good that they will do some further investigating before the next transfer.
We’ve got another scan with Care next Friday which should be 8 weeks. Have to say I’ve been feeling incredibly unwell which isn’t fun but grateful for it in a sense as hopefully it means my body is doing something!

Hi Lucy,
I’m 10w3d now and had my booking appointment with midwife, but I’m still waiting to hear back from them about speaking to the consultant about stopping meds. Have you had any movement on this yourself? Or did Care advise you when to stop?

Hey, I’m 10 weeks tomorrow and had my discharge scan with care on the 8th. When they didn’t scan at 6wks they gave me a little slip of paper that said to go down from 3 to 2 Elleste/ estradiol tablets for 2 weeks and then down to 1 tablet for 2 weeks and then stop. So I’ll be finished those just before 11 weeks.
They said to continue to take progesterone until 12 weeks.
We’ve got a private scan tomorrow and doing NIPT blood test and then have our nhs 12 week scan in early Dec.
Hope you’re feeling ok! I’m exhausted!

Thanks Lucy!
Wow, I’m 11w Friday and still on full meds. No suggestion from Care to taper, and I only just got through to NHS hospital’s obs department who should take over at some point. But could be another week before I actually speak to anyone…I’m shocked there are such different approaches!
Stressed but alright otherwise! Hope you are okay!

Oh how strange! With your last prescription did they calculate how many weeks until 12 weeks? I’ve got 15 days of pessaries left and about 12 days of injections so they said to just keep taking it until I run out.

Hi Ladies
how are you getting on Lucy/Cheshirecat?
Rebecca have you decided to have another try?
I’m booked in for my FET with last embryo on Friday and blood test Thursday. I’m not looking forward to the actual process as it’s difficult and painful and takes lots of attempts due to scar tissue but if it works it’ll be totally worth it in the end fingers crossed for me

Hey never give up, how did the transfer go? Hope it wasn’t too painful. Wishing you the very very best of luck!
I’m almost 18 weeks now, still struggling to believe it’s really happening to be honest! Been pretty sick but it’s down to every few days now.
How’s everyone else doing?

Wow 18 weeks! It’s gone fast. At least the sickness is easing a little for you now. Do you know what you are having?
My transfer went ok… only 2 attempts this time so loads better than last time!!! They had even booked me an extended theatre time because of all the trouble they usually have getting the catheter in so I was so glad everything went ok, eye watering painful a few times but compared to last time it went well so I’m glad. Just in the dreaded 2WW now that seems like it is a 4WW lol x

Good luck, never give up! I hope the 2ww goes quickly and has a positive outcome! I’ll have my 20w scan around then - it seems the waiting never ends!

Thanks Cheshirecat.
Yes it’s a very long continuous waiting game but at least you have an end date in sight! I’m still going around the merry go round wanting it to all be positive x
