Blood tests after MMC

Hi

Has anyone been referred for blood tests following a second MMC. I'm wondering whats been tested and what outcomes you had?

I did ask the consultant and he listed blood clotting thyroid and diabetes but said it was full blood work. Wondered if anyone had any experience in this?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your 2nd misscarriage it really is the toughest road, but I was sent for blood tests too after my second, had them all now and will be starting another round in 2025 hopefully. My tests were these:
*Inherited and acquired thrombophillia screening
*Full blood count
*Vitman D
*Prolactin
*Androgen Profile
*TSH (just to check my thyroid as i have hypothyroidism)

Thanks for replying. We've had IUIs up to this point but the consultant thinks we should go straight to IVF so my eggs can be looked at and hopefully viable ones picked out!

Bloods came back fine apart from blood sugar is high.
Because we've only done iui so far I'm not sure on IVF timescales.
Do you mind me picking your brains?
How many days after day 1 do they usually do egg collection? And how soon after that are they transferred back.
Did you start medication to stimulate your ovaries before day 1 of the cycle or start on day one?
Sounds crazy but it's difficult to plan life around treatment sometimes and I've no idea of the IVF process in terms of timescales.

Aww no worries at all, and yes of course, I had to call on 1st day of period to let them know but you don’t start the stims injections until day 2 and the carry on up up until your scan shows that your eggs are getting close to the size they need them I think it’s around day 15 you have your final trigger shot, 2 days after that, you have your egg collection so say day 17 maybe 18 ish time. Then embryo transfer can be in time frame of 2-5 days
