Yeah it’s definitely been a world wind journey! Still hasn’t sunk in yet! Even had my first midwife appointment yesterday and still doesn’t feel realI was told though that more than likely because it’s an IVF baby they will look to induce me when the time comes rather than allow natural labour. God knows what that means and when they’d do it!
I was back at Care yesterday for my final round of intralipids. They confirmed that would be my final one. I’ve always found them absolutely fine and no symptoms from them.
How are you doing? Any more bleeding? I’m sure that little heartbeat is getting stronger and stronger each day!xx
things are going perfectly and that’s good you had your booking in appointment too
yes some CCGs ‘insist on induction’ BUT you have the right to the birth you want and please do your research nearer the time on what you want. You do not have to be induced and can request close monitoring if they have concerns about the placenta degrading. You also have the right to an elective c-section if you prefer (that’s at 39 weeks). To be transparent I’m anti-induction and therefore always say to people please do your own research and decide if it’s right for you. I’ve too many friends go through hell (both during the birth and long term effects) because they were forced into things they shouldn’t have been and most ended in an emergency c-section or horrific measures being used during labour as baby wasn’t ready to come. So it’s good they’ve warned you they’ll plan to induce (my CCG doesn’t treat ivf pregnancies any differently so induction isn’t standard) and when it’s time to write your birth plan weigh up your options and decide what, if anything, you’ll agree to as not all inductions are equal either. I hope that’s not too much info right now but I get a bit angry about women just being told what will happen vs being told you’re in control of your birth and wellbeing and having the information to make an informed choice

I’m so glad you’re done with intralipids but that’s amazing you don’t get any effects! I envy you
I’ve had some spotting but my nausea is also so bad now it is impacting my day to day. Last time I lived off jacket potatoes as couldn’t stomach anything else. I’m right back there as most other things are now making me gag. I’m only 6+6 and last time this went on until about 24 weeks so might have a long road ahead. Mentally I’m struggling post the bleed as just feel it’ll all go wrong, particularly with the spotting still happening. But it’s very light and more pink than red so just trying not to think about it. But I do feel very on edge and feeling sick etc on the one hand is reassuring but it’s debilitating too so makes it hard to stay positive as I just want to crawl into bed all the time and try to sleepx
How are you feeling now after the bleed, have you calmed a little with the negative thoughts? I’m sure everything will be absolutely fine tomorrow.
Has the spotting stopped again?
I’m thinking of you and really hope tomorrow goes well. Let me know how you get on. What time is your scan? X
