Hiya,

The 2 week wait is so hard isnt it. I just tried to stay as chilled as possible and kept myself occupied. We are house moving shortly so we spent a lot of time out furniture shopping and I did a lot of baking with my mum.
I was trying not to think about it (as hard as it is) and I also downloaded IVF meditation to do everyday which gave me a focus.

How far in to the 2 weeks are you now?

Hi thanks for the info I'm not in it yet. I'm starting injections next week.
Can you go out and about in the 1st week of it as I know you have to rest and not do much

You're supposed to take it as easy initially but you can go out and about, the clinic told me to not do anything strenuous but to try to maintain normal life as much as possible.

Oooo its all very exciting isn't it.
I was told to remain as normal as possible - bedrest doesn't do anything positive for it in fact they say it can have a negative impact. You want to make sure blood flow is strong so going for walks is good. I was just told that they should be easy walks as the key is to not raise your body temperature. So basically no heavy lifting, no exercise, no hot baths, eat healthily, drink plenty of water and try your best to stay relaxed. You should download the Mindful IVF app. I found it really useful. You can start using it before to starting treatment and you just pay for the sections you want to use (its only a couple of £'s) and I found it really useful for during the 2WW. I massively promote minndfulness for all people so the fact this is specific for those going through IVF I think is great. Each session is no more than 10mins too so I do it as soon as I wake up whilst still led in bed.

Good luck with your injections - again just remember to stay relaxed and calm during this time and dont do anything more than gentle walking as you can begin to get a little tender and sore. I look forward to hearing about your journey :) x

During injections, right up to stims we were encouraged to maintain as much of normal life as possible.

So we didn't change anything, still went to work, normal stuff about the house and went for walks at the weekend. The only thing we changed during stims is that my wife didn't go to the gym, that was on our consultants advice.

I think you'd go a bit barmy if you went on bed/sofa rest the whole way from injections to the 2ww!

Just hopping on here ladies. I just started my 2ww! How did your transfers go ladies? Normal as possible eh? But I just can't keep my mind off it! Everytime i feel something weird I get scared! This forum is certainly helping though so I think I will just hang around here.

After 2 failed I decided I was gonna do whatever I felt like doing. We had a holiday to Northumberland and did not take it easy by any means, went out walking every day and I ended up with a positive test when I got back home. I think if this magic bean can stay stuck through hiking up steep hills then it’s a tough little bugger. I did not do any heavy lifting though.

Hi ladies!

My test day is this Sunday. I went back to work two days after my embryo transfer. I’m just doing the usual but nothing too much.

How are you all finding it?

Fiona. Xx

Hi Fiona my testing is on Aug. 22 can't wait!

Voodoo wow you are one tough mama!

I don't think I can do that myself - but staying in bed or sofa no go either. Normal stuff is best but still can't get it out of my head!

Hello Poco good luck to you, I don't think missing a couple is a cause for worry.

FSmed how did you scan go? Mine is on Sept. 26.

Sending baby dust to all!

Thanks Fiona, I'm looking forward to it. Good thing your scan went well. I'm certainly going to send a copy of the scan back to my FS in Dunya IVF. They have become like family to me. If baby goes well we might spend our first vac there in Cyprus. All prayers here and for all the ladies in this forum.
