It's definitely very hasty and personally I wouldn't consider it due to your test results and it not being frequent. If a hysterescopy is showing your tubes aren't leaking why would they want to do that to you?! Just smacks of them not knowing what to do next but it's far too drastic in my opinion!

We are trying a medicated cycle again when I come on this month and hoping for the best.....that's basically what the doc said.

He's referred me back to the NHS to have a hysterescopy but I was sat in the gynaecologist office literally two minutes and he refused to do it. He said it's totally normal for fluid to be there (although I think it's normal for fluid to be in your uterine cavity but possibly not the lining) and he wrote to Care to tell them he wouldn't do it as not worth risking infection etc
So I expect if we get cancelled again they'll refer me again.
But from your point of view you're all good from that point of view and you've had the tests that were normal so I don't know what the point of them referring again would be.
I hope you get some answers. Maybe go again and fingers crossed?! That's all I'm going on at the moment!
I think because we have had a successful cycle and there was no fluid and I had an ultrasound before my gynaecologist appointment and there was no fluid so we are all hoping there's none this time. X
I agree. I’d kind of made the decision I wasn’t going ahead with it and I’m glad to have a second opinion. You’ve really helped, so thank you.

In all honesty I don’t think the consultant I’m under would have been happy to do it. He’s an endometriosis specialist and very good, I have an appointment with him next month, so I will ask his opinion, but he’s always been determined to keep everything intact and has never found evidence of fluid either.

It’s so frustrating when they keep referring you back, I understand they want the best outcome, but I do agree that fluid does often appear and doesn’t necessarily mean the worst. I also feel if tests results that are normal aren’t being taken into account, what’s the point of them? It just feels like all the tests I’ve had done and repeated have been disregarded.

That’s great news the fluid had gone on your last scan has gone though, fingers crossed it’s sorted itself out and you can proceed. The waiting is awful. I hope they don’t keep referring you back, it would just seem like such a waste of time when your consultants made his opinion clear x
Glad you to have helped. It definitely helps to talk to others about similar issues doesn't it.
It's really uncommon all this fluid stuff so trying to find answers is so difficult.
I'm trying to do all the health things on my side right. Lots of wholegrains, protein, oily fish, vegetables, pregnacare vitamins, no caffeine, no alcohol etc etc it's so very frustrating when you can't do anything else! X
Yes it definitely helps, it just helps you make a more informed decision rather than rushing into things.

See I’ve seen a lot of people say they’ve had it, but it’s always disappeared and never really stayed around. But I have heard of a few transfers being cancelled because it hasn’t. It’s just a shame there’s no real cause for it often, because then at least it’s something that could be resolved maybe.

Ive been exactly the same though, cutting everything out and trying all sorts. You can only do your best, at least you know you did all you could x

Hi Ladies, wow we are all at different stages aren't we!

Jenz/Buttonboon- So sorry to here you are having a difficult time with fluid, it sounds very frutstrating. Hoping you can get some answers soon.

Becs- Oohh that's exciting I'm glad they didn't make you wait when you were ready to get cracking, hope you are feeling positive about this cycle.

Ire1- ahh are you going anywhere nice on a holiday? Nice to have a good break before you get started.

I'm on day 7 of injections and just started my bleed, feeling a bit emotional like PMS symptoms and a bit tired but on the whole doing fine! Will call on Monday to get my date for my down reg scan. Wondering if they will do it next Saturday or if I will have to wait till a week on Monday as I know they are closed Sunday's.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey ladies

How we all doing? My meds arrived today.... Oh its made it all feel real......cant believe this one box has cost me the best part of £500🙈🙈🙈 think if someone shook me I would rattle. 🤣🤣🤣

So my 7th and last cycle starts on Thursday. Told my manager yesterday and he's given me a weeks holiday to start after my transfer. so a weight has been lifted. I may go for another half week. I'll see how I go.

Matgirl have you had your scan yet? Think your a couple of weeks ahead of me.

Is anyone doing anything different this time round. I need all the help I can get.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I'm. Working it all😢

Hey Becs, ahh wow you can get going this week then exciting! That's nice of your work to be so understanding and it definitely helps doesn't it. I sometimes just want to hide away from the world when cycling!
Everything going to plan for me, had my down reg scan on Friday and started stimming Friday night. 3 injections this time and caught myself a couple of times so stomach is a nice shade of green and yellow at the moment! Really struggled towards the back end of down regging with awful night sweats/insomnia/headaches so hoping I'll start to feel a bit more normal in the next couple of days. Scans on Weds and Fri this week and then hopefully egg collection the week after. Just praying this bloody virus doesn't put us into lockdown or we will all be in a mess!! They took my temperature in the clinic on Friday before they would let me in!

Hope your weekend at work has been ok and not too stressful.

Any progress from anyone else? Seems a quiet couple of months for cycling! x

Morning ladies.

Yea totally agree it's been really quiet on here.

Not sure. Think I'm guna ring my clinic to see what they advise is about starting as I don't what it cancelled or put at risk as this is my last chance.
It's so hard on what to do for the best.

Matgirl hope your tummy isn't too sore.

Jenz did you get a scan date.

Stay safe xx

Yes 27th March - not sure with how things are going if we will get that far. A couple of schools have shut in the area now so might end up on lock down :(

It is a nightmare situation isn't it and one that may well be taken out of the clinics hands at some point. I personally wouldn't start a cycle now, I can assure you it's torturous not knowing if your going to make it to the end. I reckon I'm about 8 days from egg collection and hoping I can get there, I don't care if they have to freeze everything (if we are lucky enough to get some good embryos) but I just want the blooming things out of me after getting this far! My drugs were £1800 this time so it's no small amount if I have to pay that again in the case that I become ill, or £900 if the clinic cancel's.
Hoping you can get some answers before you start anything! x

It's a nightmare!
I've had 3 cycles cancelled already so I know the disappointment of not getting very far this time unfortunately.
I hope you can get to egg collection so you can get to the next stage X

I've phoned my clinic and they said it's reallyDown to me but have said that they don't know what next week or the next month is guna bring and they could easier end up cancelling transfers. So I've postponed until I know what's happening.

All my drugs have next years date on they so at least I haven't lost any money.... Hopefully we will be out the other side by next month 🤞🤞

I'll pop on here from time to time so please keep updates of how you are getting on.

Matgirl I really hope you get to egg collection.

Jenz fingers crossed they don't cancel.

Good luck everyone xx

How are you all? Is anyone continuing their cycle?

I am due my lining check on Saturday and if thickness is ok my FET date will be confirmed. So far my clinic have said current patients are able to carry on that are mid cycle. I pray nothing changes!!

We made the decision to cancel. I was supposed to go in for scan Friday but the latest statement said they are making current cycles elective freeze and not going to embryo transfer. The dates and timings of this cycle did mean we just fall within the dates to make it to embryo transfer but they're cancelling fresh cycles due to the uncertainty to how safe it would be if a pregnancy was achieved so not sure why they're still allowing frozen embryo transfers. They said it was totally our choice but I don't think there really was a choice, they weren't recommending or advising to go ahead as such. Gutted yet again. Bored of it now. How I feel at the moment not even sure I want to even go again. 3 cancelled cycles and not even got close to an embryo transfer. What's the point

Hi ladies,

I'm new to this forum but wish I found it months sooner!

We've decided to continue with our cycle and I had my first egg collection today. Recovery is going well, but now all I can think about is the numbers. I'm so anxious about the update calls over the next few days and hoping I have something...anything... to transfer/freeze. Anyone else holding out hope for a possible transfer next week?

Stay safe & baby dust to everyone xx

Hi Ladies, hope everyone is ok.

Becs- Hope you are ok, sensible decision to get going when all this madness calms down. Fingers crossed it won't be too long for you.

Jenz- Sounds like you are having a tough time of it. It's easy to say but try not to give up hope. I agree the goal posts keep moving and no definitive answers about things.

Zoe- how did your lining check go? Are you still on for your transfer?

Brocky- Sorry I don't know about ant-histamines but my general rule of thumb is paracetamol only, feel for you hayfever is a pain, will you suffer for a few months now?

Littlebun- Hope you are still recovering well and got good news about your fertilisation, what have they said to you about transfer?

LuckyBabe- Ahh that is stressful having to worry about whether you'll be on your own. I'm sure it will have calmed down a bit by then.

As for me, had egg collection yesterday and got 5, 4 of which have fertilised normally so I'm happy with that! They still want me to start pessaries tomorrow even though the preference is to freeze all (If i get that far) They will transfer on Thursday though if they aren't good enough to freeze but make it to day 5 x
